It's great and it's actually wonderfully paces so each issue is dense and fairly self contained that you get a good fix for the month while the main story moves forward. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't but it's very well written and drawn. I don't know what "mixed things" you've heard, for the most part the sad thing about it is that not enough are reading it..

The original had a contrast of grim, bleak, “mundane” life to contrast with these fucked up weirdos just trying to find their place. It was almost Kafkaesque. This one just sort of takes it as a given that the world’s as silly as they are.
I’m still going to buy it, I’m just disappointed by how far they missed the point. I don’t know, if I’m being perfectly objective it kind of makes sense with the absolute bullshit the JL get away with

But from what I remember: After allegedly sacrificing herself to fuck up the Gravemind, Cortana instead ended up in the precursors’ network which gave her the bright idea that organics are shit tier fuckwits who’ll destroy themselves eventually. It’s not clear if she’s corrupted or genuinely convinced and I’m not sure which would be dumber at this point, but whatever happened to her in there apparently “fixed” Rampancy too. So she starts recruiting the other AIs to form an army with big dumb robot hardlight bodies.

Morrison’s Green Lantern is the crown jewel of DC at the moment, yeah. I can’t recommend The Dreaming and Lucifer in good faith because I need my Vertigo fix, but they’re still the only tolerable turning into good about 7 issues in each of the Vertigo-related titles out at the moment. Same reason I’m sticking it out with the current JLD run.
I guess Doom Patrol is okay, if you like random weird stuff? And Justice League Odyssey is-I want to say alright, it’s like Justice League in many ways but benefits from having a much tighter focus. I’m actually having a blast with the main Justice League title myself, but because of the unintentional hilarity and DBS-like powerleveling, so I can’t recommend it in good faith.
I’ve heard good things about Dial H for Hero, Super Sons and Aquaman, but can’t vouch for them myself.
