BASKETFUL OF HEADS #1
written by JOE HILL
art by LEOMACS
backup story art by CREDIT
cover by REIKO MURAKAMI
card stock variant cover by JOSHUA MIDDLETON
The rain lashes the grassy dunes of Brody Island, and seagulls scream above the bay. A slender figure in a raincoat carries a large wicker basket, which looks like it might be full of melons…covered by a bloodstained scrap of the American flag.
This is the story of June Branch, a young woman trapped with four cunning criminals who have snatched her boyfriend for deranged reasons of their own. Now she must fight for her life with the help of an impossible 8th-century Viking axe that can pass through a man’s neck in a single swipe—and leave the severed head still conscious and capable of supernatural speech.
Each disembodied head has a malevolent story of its own to tell, and it isn’t long before June finds herself in a desperate struggle to hack through their lies and manipulations...racing to save the man she loves before time runs out.
Plus, in the premiere chapter of the backup story “Sea Dogs,” which sails across all the Hill House Comics titles!

art by MICO SUAYAN and MIKE MAYHEW
cover by FRANCESCO MATTINA
variant cover by MIKE MAYHEW
variant cover by MICO SUAYAN
In Gotham City, where heinous acts of violence are a daily occurrence, the GCPD relies on Harley Quinn, a young forensic psychiatrist and profiler, to consult on their toughest cases. But Harley is haunted by one unsolved case—the night she discovered her roommate’s body marked with the signature of a notorious serial killer known as The Joker.
Five years later, the case remains unsolved and a new series of horrific murders occur throughout the city. As the murders escalate, Harley’s obsession with finding the depraved psychopath responsible leads her down a dangerous path. When the past and the present finally collide, Harley has to decide how far she is willing to go—and how many lines she is willing to cross—to solve these cases once and for all.
Written by #1 New York Times and international bestselling author Kami Garcia (co-author of Beautiful Creatures, author of Unbreakable and X-Files: Agents of Chaos) with art by Mico Suayan (Bloodshot: Reborn) and Mike Mayhew (The Star Wars), JOKER/HARLEY: CRIMINAL SANITY introduces readers to a Joker and Harley Quinn unlike any they’ve seen before, utilizing forensic psychiatry, behavior analysis (profiling) and psychological profiles to create a true-to-life take on these iconic characters that is more terrifying than any psychotic fantasy.

Seems like it other than Doom Patrol and Young Justice getting renewed

not a single thread about the DC Comics panels at SDCC was made.
No wonder, everything was announced before, and no one cares about YEAR OF THE VILLAIN

People are getting lazier and lazier, we used to have solicits thread religiously but now people don't even post them fully

This board is truly going down the shitter

THE JOKER: KILLER SMILE #1
written by JEFF LEMIRE
art and cover by ANDREA SORRENTINO
variant cover by KAARE ANDREWS
Everyone knows The Joker doesn’t have the most promising history with psychotherapists. In fact, no one’s even been able to diagnose him. But that doesn’t matter to the confident, world-beating Dr. Ben Arnell; he’s going to be the one to unravel this unknowable mind. There’s no way The Joker could ever get through the therapeutic walls Ben has built around himself. Right? There’s no way The Joker’s been entering his house at night…right? There’s no way The Joker has stood over his son’s bed, and put that book in his hands, the one with the, the, the…
The Eisner-nominated creative team of Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino (GREEN ARROW, Gideon Falls) reunite for a psychological horror story where nothing is as it seems, your eyes can’t be trusted and Mr. Smiles is waiting behind the basement door.
Wait, who’s Mr. Smiles?

THE LAST GOD #1
written by PHILLIP KENNEDY JOHNSON
art by RICCARDO FEDERICI, DEAN WHITE and JARED BLANDO
cover by KAI CARPENTER
variant cover by RICCARDO FEDERICI
THE LAST GOD tells the story of two fellowships of heroes struggling with the same threat…30 years apart. One group will doom their world, the other must save it.
Thirty years ago, a band of heroes traveled beyond the borders of creation and killed the last living god, saving the realm of Cain Anuun from an apocalyptic army of the undead. The legendary companions became the rulers of their world and ushered in a new era of peace and prosperity. But it did not last.
Now the foul legions of the Last God march once more, laying waste to all of Cain Anuun and revealing that the aging fellowship may not be the great heroes they claim to be. With the world burning down around them, a new group of unlikely champions must band together and accomplish what no other has done: kill the Last God, once and for all.
THE LAST GOD: BOOK ONE OF THE FELLSPYRE CHRONICLES is a high-octane, no-holds-barred dark fantasy epic from writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson (Last Sons of America, Warlords of Appalachia, AQUAMAN) and artist Riccardo Federici (DARK NIGHTS: METAL, AQUAMAN), featuring additional work from Kai Carpenter (BOOKS OF MAGIC), Dean White (ALL-STAR BATMAN, Uncanny X-Force) and Jared Blando (Dungeons & Dragons).

THE SANDMAN UNIVERSE PRESENTS: HELLBLAZER #1
written by SI SPURRIER
art by MARCIO TAKARA
cover by BILQUIS EVELY
variant cover by DECLAN SHALVEY
The second year of the Sandman Universe begins with the long-awaited arrival of one of DC’s most iconic characters…John Constantine, Hellblazer!
He’s cheated death and damnation more times than he can count, but never like this. Long ago, in the crucible of a magical war waged across countless futures, Constantine was murdered by an all-powerful adversary: a twisted version of Timothy Hunter, bloated with evil.
But over the past year strange forces have conspired to restart Tim Hunter’s tale, and somehow—amid sorcery, insanity and secret agendas—this older, wiser, wilier shade of Constantine has been dragged back with it. Unlike young Tim, John remembers every second of a life that went very, very wrong. Now he must ask himself why he, the last person in the world to deserve a second chance, has been given one. Is John Constantine here to put Tim Hunter on the right track and avert a terrible outcome? Or is it because he’s the only person in existence with the guts to do what REALLY must be done? After all, he’s a nasty piece of work, chief…ask anybody.
This oversize one-shot sets the stage, and is the perfect jumping-on point, for a new era of Sandman Universe tales beginning in November…and is the official start of the strangest chapter yet in John Constantine’s long life!

SUPERMAN SMASHES THE KLAN #1
written by GENE LUEN YANG
art and cover by GURIHIRU
variant cover by KYLE BAKER
The year is 1946, and the Lee family has moved from Metropolis’ Chinatown to the center of the bustling city. While Dr. Lee is greeted warmly in his new position at the Metropolis Health Department, his two kids, Roberta and Tommy, are more excited about being closer to their famous hero, Superman!
While Tommy adjusts to the fast pace of the city, Roberta feels out of place, as she tries and fails to fit in with the neighborhood kids. As the Lees try to adjust to their new lives, an evil is stirring in Metropolis: the Ku Klux Klan. When the Lee family awakens one night to find a burning cross on their lawn, they consider leaving town. But the Daily Planet offers a reward for information on the KKK, and their top two reporters, Lois Lane and Clark Kent, dig into the story.
When Tommy is kidnapped by the KKK, Superman leaps into action—with help from Roberta! But Superman is still new to his powers—he hasn’t even worked out how to fly yet, so he has to run across town. Will Superman and Roberta reach Tommy in time?
Inspired by the 1940s Superman radio serial “Clan of the Fiery Cross,” Gene Luen Yang (American Born Chinese, Boxers and Saints, The Terrifics, New Super-Man) presents his personal retelling of the adventures of the Lee family as they team up with Superman to smash the Klan.

Fun.

They literally using the Dark Multiverse concept to publish What Ifs takes on classic story-lines like Death of Superman and Knightfall. If that doesn't tell you that readers don't care about the current direction the company is heading, and would rather prefer reading about older stories, and that DC is aware of that fact, i don't know.

Is it worth picking up the Vol 1. hardcover for? I know Yea Forums loves it of course, but I've heard some pretty mixed things about it in the wider community.

Cool.

Green Arrow ended with Black Canary working for an old employer who wanted the super secret device J'Onn gave Ollie to stop the JL with.
Black Canary ended on rocky terms with Ollie and they haven't seen each other in a while.
New52 canon also had Dinah as a part of Team 7 which was a military secret agent squad
Combine that with the fallout of HiC, with Roy dead and heroes exposed, Dinah having a good knowledge of the hero community, knowledge of the intelligence world and the fact Ollie is a major player lead to the idea.

Oh and Thorn knows Leviathans a chick

Blame the board or blame the company?
I used to actually care about the solicits because I cared about the storylines. Does anyone really care about what's happening next in any of these titles? DC hasn't had a good event since Final Crisis.

I always love these "everyone died and now there's one object for each of them on the ground to show that" kind of images

Read it yourself and find out, stop asking stranger you know nothing about to tell you what to think. It's great and it's actually wonderfully paces so each issue is dense and fairly self contained that you get a good fix for the month while the main story moves forward. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't but it's very well written and drawn. I don't know what "mixed things" you've heard, for the most part the sad thing about it is that not enough are reading it..

Now go inside those early moments of Ric’s new life, his strained reunion with a stranger named Bruce Wayne and an entire life turned upside down. Look at that solicitation. 464 pages, but just four months worth of comics.
Superman had 4-5 books going at a time, and they acted like a weekly story. So you can't skip any weeks. This means that any trades from that time period will take ages to get through

Attached: DCeased_hccover_2.jpg (788x1200, 676K)

How is this still going?

Hc includes new essay from him

Because it’s Batman.

standard size hcs are a joke

Fuck sake Busiek I know Paul is slow but Christ at least it’s got a date

Attached: E558F496-2EEB-4CAE-9188-F520E1FA2435.jpg (936x878, 264K)

Synergy of prey!

Welp, that's what I get for not reading to the end.

They want to keep it for the loyal fans. How nice.

I actually feel a sort of defeated disappointment with DC.

Tempus Fuginaut? does that mean sideways will make an appearance?

We all are.

>and out of the Suicide Squad
If sacrificing the Birds of Prey is what it takes I will pay that price

I trust Yang but it's a little odd to see the Klan be racist against non-blacks

I guess China was seen as positive a bit more due to being allied in WW2

Actually outside the annual crossovers the Loeb/Kelly/DeMatteis-Casey/Schultz books had very little to do with each other despite carrying the cover trianlge until IIRC 2002, which makes collecting even more of an ass pain

Maybe the next reboot/relaunch will be better, user.

All the Ennis Hellblazer TPBs are still in print though, seems a bit redundant

>Superman had 4-5 books going at a time, and they acted like a weekly story.
I thought you meant there was some legal trouble with the stories.
I always thought that was a good idea when you have as many titles as Batman or Superman has, to have everyone co-ordinate their plots to paint a better picture of Gotham or Metropolis.

>comparing floppies to fucking absolutes

>JrJr Batman

hell yeah

lowkey been really enjoying this run.

I'm down with Barry and Hunter teaming up

hypehypehype

Bizarro being the Man of Yesterday and wanting to reverse time is so genius

Orlando doing spy Wonder Woman!

I really stopped caring and being butthurt about current comics a couple of years ago but what really kills me is the trades dept which basically renewed my interest at the beginning of the decade.

Now I know half the reprint series will be dropped after a couple of volumes completely, and the other half will be dropped then picked up again in another format for the next movie release or whatever (looking at you 4th World absolute instead of the goddamn Forever People trade)

Looks cool

>Forever People trade

That's the only one left right? I think I've seen a Jimmy Olsen one

>BATMANJOKERBATMANJOKER BATMANJOKERBATMANJOKER!!!!
Amazing how DC has already made Batman reach the over-saturation of the fucking Minions.
The only good Bat books

Loveness has done some great Superman oneshots recently, I’ll check this out.

>Orlando doing spy Wonder Woman!
AND IT SUCKS, BECAUSE ARGUS SUCKS! BECAUSE IT'S NOT-SHIELD! AND NOW SHE'S NOT-BLACK WIDOW! AND I HATE IT! I HATE IT! I KNOW THEY KEEP PUSHING ARGUS BECAUSE WITHOUT IT STEVE TREVOR IS NOTHING! AND EVEN WITH IT HE'S PRETTY RICK FLAG WITHOUT THE THINGS THAT MAKE FLAG AN ACTUALLY INTERESTING CHARACTER! SO WONDER WOMAN HAS BE DRAGGED DOWN FOR THIS SHITTY VERSION OF STEVE TREVOR TO HAVE A PLACE IN HER SETTING! AND GOOOOOD FUCKING DAMNIT! AAAAAAARGH!

Every month this is still up and every month I'm surprised

Invisible Mafia vs Intergang? Sounds cool actually.

It is because they ruined the other A-listers with shit writers like Bendis and DeConnick and King.

Batman and Joker is all they have left.

Don’t bother. It’s shit.

Traitor and either her or Djinn are the dying one.

He's writing the book in november, so eat shit

Agreed. The trades look interesting.

Issue 50 was actually really good, KSD has had a Humphries style Rebirth at DC. She writes a good Aquaman.

Nice try, KSD. Your book is shit.

Go back to Marvel and ruin Captain Marvel.

I like Orlando, but this ARGUS crap has got to go. It's reducing Wonder Woman character into a mere soldier of the government and ARGUS in itself isn't even an interesting concept. It's literally a poor version of SHIELD. Wonder Woman can be so much more, and they're reducing her into being some sort of Black Widow.

Tony Daniel’s “art” is so much fucking worse it’s not even funny. Daniel’s people look like they’re made of wax and in the process of melting.

>She writes a good Aquaman.
You mean #50 was good, right? Because everything so far that I have read is boring shit so you can't mean that.

Yeeesh, even the New 52 was THIS bad.

Jurgens might actually end up being the longest running Batman Beyond writer which is fucking crazy to me.

Based Plas carrying this bitch

his arc doesn't look like it'll have much ARGUS, more year of the villain stuff

>Now that Cheetah has gained control of Themyscira, Wonder Woman must return home for a final showdown. Does she stand a chance against this scholar-turned-monster whose sole purpose was to enter this mythical realm? Meanwhile, Earth is left unprotected and some of Themyscira’s most vile creations have found their way there. What chaos awaits Wonder Woman if she ever returns? Join returning writer Steve Orlando for the first chapter of this six-issue tale!

imo Orlando and Wilson trading arcs on Wonder Woman is a great set up

>art by DEXTER ONIONS

every single time

kill it ded

How the fuck did this take so long?
Oh boy another retarded Superman vs. Batman fight. Williamson is such a hack.

Fucking trash. I can't believe I let myself be deceived like that.

I'm talking about the annual, the one that implies that Wonder Woman has been an agent of ARGUS for such a long time that she was able to see a girl she rescued as an agent grow up into adulthood.

>Wonder Woman has been an agent of ARGUS for such a long time that she was able to see a girl she rescued as an agent grow up into adulthood.

lol remember the 5 years of active heroes thing

Only title worth buying desu

Goddamn we’re almost at the end.

>Stjepan Šejic

It's Stjepan Šejić. If you could bother putting the diacritic on S, you could be bothered to put it on c. (not aimed at poster, but whomever it was copy/pasted from)

>and a chance to raise a loved one from the dead! Choose wisely, Harley

Whomst? Her mom? Ivy? Mason?

It tells me you’re retarded. DC is cashing in on the popularity of Dark Knights Metal, an event people here hates but everyone else loved.

Dark Knights METAL and DEATH OF SUPERMAN and KNIGHTFALL.

For all people like to say Batman has the best Rogues seems like most of them only have the same story told over and over again.

Doesn't surprise me, he's a graduate of that 90s school of leech writers who just sit on a title until fanboys stop knowing any better and accept them as the norm (see also Lobdell, Marz, Dixon)

How do you pronounce his name correctly?
I get that his first name is the equivalent of Stephen, but the nuances are lost to my English only ass.

Williamson might be the only one to actually reach 100 issues. Gotta give him credit for that.

that's a powerful cover

Fuck it. I've been a DC for the longest time, but i can't take it anymore. I'm going to dedicate myself into reading Hickman's power hour. Cyclops is a mix of Superman and Batman anyway. So i'm good. Everything is fine. This is fine.

vocaroo.com/i/s1gm6uuj19qa

this is insane slander

>It introduced time travel even earlier in Flash's career, which is awful because it just leads to more
You dumbass, one of the first feats in one of the first Flash issues the Flash ever pulled off was time travel.

no u

>not framing it as a Flash Fact
YOU HAD ONE JOB.

Oh shit here we go!

I know Yea Forums‘s hateboner for Snyder leave sthem incapable of enjoying this run but I’m loving it

Case in point

Actually looking forward to these books. Which is a lot more than last month with only GMoz’s GL.

>All this and finally, the truth behind…Teen Lantern.
So she’s not a black fetish creation of Bendis?

Vic and Renee together again sounds cool to me. Just hope Rucka will do right by Vic.

I’m truly hoping this story will be the end of Ric

hot

>What the hell happened to Sholly Fisch? He was writing amazing back ups for Morrison's Action Comics and since then he's been stuck writing the Scooby Doo comic.
Maybe he doesn’t want to do more mainstream Big 2 stuff? Russel was like that too until recently. It’s a shame because I loved those Superman backups.

Should I read Locke & Key or is it a meme?

>not the superior Mann and Superman story

Morrison's Green Lantern should be getting as much recognition as Immortal Hulk. They both feel like they are on the same level.

enjoying words words words?

>like Orlando
gaaaaaaaaaaay

Good fucking GOD that art is awful. Not looking forward to Superman getting bailed out of a fight with the Joker by Batman and WW, why the fuck does he need their help? Miller is such a hack.

eat shit faggot

This book has been really enjoyable under Yang. I’m hoping this Bizarro arc will help boost sales and keep it alive.

Best book DC has right now. Didio doesn’t deserve Morrison.
>Received Blackhole powers
>Got hunted
>Still work at the same place and try to get famous from using it
This is pretty retarded even for a millennial character.

What the fuck are you talking about you idiot? How is this any different from Rebirth?

Orlando actually writes a good WW. Why can’t he get the book instead of Wilson? He actually uses her Rogues Gallery.

Just reprint O’Neil’s Question run you fucking cunts!

You do know Diana WAS a secret agent at one point right? And her “ambassadorship” has always been utterly worthless. People buy comics to see heroes punch shit, no one is buying a comic to see WW solve a conflict by talking.

Okay, Op. good joke. Posting fake solicitations that are intentionally bad and boring. Haha.

Now post the REAL DC solicitations...

This has been such a great run so far. I never thought I’d actually enjoy a book by Dogfucker but GLs and now this.

Yes, and that period sucked.

Gleason was the one who created her you dipshit

Bendis cares. And he will do everything in his power to make you and everyone care.

Just wait til he takes over Batman and makes another black sidekick.

How is Loeb’s Superman run? Heard a lot of stuff about behind the scenes fighting between him and editorial. The Superman editorial office was notoriously terrible which is why the Superman titles suffered for a long time.

Oh my...

Attached: WW-Cv82-2.jpg (1200x1845, 315K)

So this means this cyborg-looking motherfucker is the antimatter Hal we saw in the first issue? Neat!

You haven’t even read the KSD Aquaman I’d wager.

>Jimmy turning himself into Norman Osborn
Noice. They should’ve given him the wavy horizontal lines though.

Excellent rebuttal retard. Why don’t you go drink another piss bottle?
If you don’t like it fair enough, but Mother Shark was pretty fucking cool imo. Issue 50 has Arthur return to Amnesty Bay with his memories restored and KSD has Mera pregnant with Aquababy.

>and at the end of this epic there will be a huge change to the status quo of the world of Superman
That’s what they said about Leviathan! How many times can Bendis pull the “NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME” schtick?

>Still hasn’t ended the Kheran war arc
This book is moving in a fucking crawl.

I am enjoying JL yes. I’m sorry all those words hurt your head user. Maybe you should start with Dr. Seuss? I hear he’s great for beginner readers.

wtf, they are remaking Gail Simone's run, for what purpose?

>Nora is evil

Okay but did this John die fucking THIS Timothy Hunter while Tim was cosplaying as the queen of the fairies too?

>Ignorant Post-Crisis babby

TALES FROM THE DARK MULTIVERSE: DCEU when?

She wasn't a spy, she worked security for the UN.

How long is this shitty Year of the Villains event going to last?

This might be good

Argus agents aren't spies either, neither was the DEO

The full year, next year is all about the conclusion in a Big Event

Attached: HARLEY-Cv67.jpg (1200x1845, 362K)

Didio was screaming about how it will last two years at SDCC

It’s like a shittier version of Underworld Unleashed. But to be fair, copying other people’s shit has been Snyder’s bread and butter for years.
The art absolutely carries the book for me. It’s a long time since I’ve seen a book that can be creative in multiple styles.

Attached: C1392EF9-591D-4F19-AD9D-9779C2CD6D5F.jpg (3975x3056, 1.79M)

ARGUS is fucking NOT-SHIELD. And Simone's run fucking sucked. One Year Later in its entirety fucking sucked.

I dropped Wonder Woman since Rebirth
This makes me curious again

Attached: Diana_Prince_004.jpg (768x985, 153K)

>two years
How horrifying!!!!

Imagine being so retarded.

I'm so mad because the only way this Lex stuff can end properly is him looking into the future, seeing the word Legion and thinking he's won, and then Cosmic Boy punches him in the face

>And Simone's run fucking sucked
I agree, but most of this stuff was in Allan Heinberg's run

Locke and Key is not deep but fun...

I know, and it sucked. And Simone later run also fucking sucked. I'm just saying that Wonder Woman in general fucking sucked after Infinite Crisis.

>DEXTER ONIONS
God
Damn

whatever

A year

Diana Prince is my thing and you can't change my mind
I'm glad Steve Orlando shares the sentiment

Attached: wwspindodson.jpg (2048x1566, 1.07M)

Diana Prince didn't start with One Year Later, and that doesn't change the fact that Not Shield, Not Rick Flag, and Not Amanda Waller suck.

>JRJR

The immediate FEAR that I had thinking Romita was on interior made the butthole clinch like a 911 call

They are also doing Infinite Crisis, The Judas Contract, Blackest Night and Identity Crisis.

All of these are already edgy.

>Shitty kitty btfo

>after years of watching parademons job Darkseid reevaluates his cannon fodder options
>”I know...para-ANGELS”

This is more funny than it should be to me.

...is Scooby Doo actually canon to DC, like Elvira?

Oh my god, something that isn't related to Batman!

It's not even related to DC.

Fuck Bendis and fuck DC for giving him a Legion book

>The Forerunners
I now remember that Cortana is currently the villain of HALO, the true precursors loved humans all along, and suddenly appreciate that things could be worse for DC right now.

This looks worth reading.

I can’t believe it. This was on of the best things DC was putting out but it was taking so fucking long between issues

>the role of god/goddess
Oh come on making it that obvious? I wonder if there’ve been any gender ambiguous deities travelling with Diana lately. I WONDER.

Be funny in a horrible way if Grail of all people is the one to become the new goddess of love, though.

>Another block OC getting all the attention

Why can't Bendis help himself?

>Or are they
FUCKING NO. God, can someone explain why Diana instinctively trusts the greek gods so much?

Didn’t we literally just go through this arc with the bitchy whatever swan cyborg girl? Why do people Diana helps just fall apart without her to hold her hand?

Well, this finally got at least readable. Too bad even on Yea Forums nobody seems to care about it. Fuck, at least someone’s doing something with the Goetia since their debut in Moore’s Promethea.

This is beyond saving, though. Even I can’t bring myself to care about NuTim.

Same story as The Dreaming, higher lows but lower highs. Still gonna buy it, for all how I dislike forcibly nerfing muh Luci it’s a damn sight better than the last reboot.

I finally figured out what’s wrong with the current Doom Patrol run: It’s trying so hard to be quirky. The original had a contrast of grim, bleak, “mundane” life to contrast with these fucked up weirdos just trying to find their place. It was almost Kafkaesque. This one just sort of takes it as a given that the world’s as silly as they are.

I’m still going to buy it, I’m just disappointed by how far they missed the point. I don’t know, if I’m being perfectly objective it kind of makes sense with the absolute bullshit the JL get away with

>Hero Force is going to be canon soon

Orlando sucks so much dick

I guess they never miss, huh

Personally I’m sincerely impressed by how Morrison seems to be successfully staying above all the editorial bullshit for once and doing his own, fun thing

LET IT END

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DIDIO, LET IT END

Didio is so damn cruel.

I just love how Morrison doesn’t even give a hint of shit about the rest of the DC shitpile. He even ignored the whole Teen Lantern dogshit that Bendis promised that Moz would explain.

Attached: 983A6A6A-B6CF-4C77-A388-9B0FA42CB45B.jpg (1988x3056, 1.54M)

Better looking at least, hopefully

Bring back Sideways for fuck sake! It’s

Not him but the DBZ exposition is unintentionally funny for me enough to keep reading

>”Whoa Batman, so you’re saying this guy is...multiverse level?”
>”MASAKA! BAKANA! Impossible, he’s BEYOND multiverse level, he’s MULTI multiverse level”

I am the only who thinks Neal Adams sucks as an artist now?

Someonedo november

How deep.

You know what really bothers me about Year of the Villain? Final Crisis already did it, and with way more nuance in all it’s side stories despite making out Libra to be a way smaller deal than A P E X L E X.

>Mandrakk is the bigger bad
>Cain/Vandal Savage’s awakening is a side effect/omen of Darkseid’s fall
>Rogues tell Libra to fuck off
>Side stories about heroes and villains fighting a losing battle against Anti-Life

They did even more recently than Final Crisis. Forever Evil and Villains Month.

Remind me again, how in the hell did that happen? Was It ever explained? To this day, I still have no Idea.

Christ, is Busiek fucking dying again?

Dr. Lee named his daughter Roberta?

What is happening here?

FINALLY

What happened to her?

Attached: Screenshot_20190722-201054_Clover dev.jpg (509x887, 309K)

He'll just be scripting though. The plot sounds like tie in trash.

Is this why Lazarus went quarterly?

It was so dumb my brain blanked out most of the details as a defence mechanism. But from what I remember: After allegedly sacrificing herself to fuck up the Gravemind, Cortana instead ended up in the precursors’ network which gave her the bright idea that organics are shit tier fuckwits who’ll destroy themselves eventually. It’s not clear if she’s corrupted or genuinely convinced and I’m not sure which would be dumber at this point, but whatever happened to her in there apparently “fixed” Rampancy too. So she starts recruiting the other AIs to form an army with big dumb robot hardlight bodies.

She also still wants John’s dick. Badly.

Seems to be the trend in comics these days, yes.

Why does this exist?

So how's DC been the past year and a half? I kind of stopped reading comics around the time Bendis started taking Superman and everything else over. Anything worth reading since then, or has Bendis been plaguing everything by association?

I think the only stuff I'm really interested in that I'm aware of is catching up on Flash and picking up Morrison's GL. Anything else worthwhile to catch up on?

Batman/TMNT 3 is okay

Nah. Morrison's GL isn't trash.

Why does Yea Forums worship this book? It's worse than Snyder's and Tynion's JL and JLD.

>Love DC.
>None of this even interests me.
>DC's quality output has literally gone to shit.
We're in another DC dark age.

>Tim with the old costume

wtf Bendis

That seems to be a Lark thing, even though his art has been shit lately

Bendis is a cancer and destroys everything he touches. Why they're letting him get involved in every fucking book they put out, I'll never understand.

Morrison’s Green Lantern is the crown jewel of DC at the moment, yeah. I can’t recommend The Dreaming and Lucifer in good faith because I need my Vertigo fix, but they’re still the only tolerable turning into good about 7 issues in each of the Vertigo-related titles out at the moment. Same reason I’m sticking it out with the current JLD run.

I guess Doom Patrol is okay, if you like random weird stuff? And Justice League Odyssey is-I want to say alright, it’s like Justice League in many ways but benefits from having a much tighter focus. I’m actually having a blast with the main Justice League title myself, but because of the unintentional hilarity and DBS-like powerleveling, so I can’t recommend it in good faith.

I’ve heard good things about Dial H for Hero, Super Sons and Aquaman, but can’t vouch for them myself.

>12 issues

It’s like a parody of every Marvel cosmic being except the Queen of Nevers and Gaia

Dude normal people can't afford 150 for a collection. Only over privileged white guys in their mid 40s can like you

To be fair it IS the Dark Multiverse
As in, the literal cosmic narrative cesspit filled with idea /that must never be/

I’m going to shit bricks if it turns out Morrison’s secretly been building up to the return of Darkseid in his full Godhead’s glory however long it lasts or Hal having to go up against the Empty Hand

Here for this and only this.

Kys faggot she's fucking garbage. Abnetts was a bit of a snooze but it was ten times better than "Le I can't remember anything kelly didn't want to read" and synergy. The original had a contrast of grim, bleak, “mundane” life to contrast with these fucked up weirdos just trying to find their place. It was almost Kafkaesque. This one just sort of takes it as a given that the world’s as silly as they are.
This. Bck when Morrison was still writing the Doom Patrol, Flex was the only normal character related to them, he wasn't as quirky as the rest..

>Birds of Prey relaunch with cotton candy Harley just in time for the movie starring Harley Quinn
Gross.

Do you think the Joker will dab in this series? Will he floss to dubstep?

>In the Year of the Villain, what’s a Clown Prince of Crime to do when the world has started to accept doing bad as the only way to live? Out-bad everyone else, of course!
Is DC edited by 14 year olds? Who writes this shit?!

Fuck yes can't wait.

Bendis took a shit ton of books but his shit is not offensively bad. His Wonder Comic line is pretty damn good except for the Naomi trash, Dial H is definitely the highlight.

The real problem is how King, Bendis and Snyder all want to have an event for themselves (Snyder with Batman who lmaos, King with Banewank and Bendis with negrowank) which creates a huge clusterfuck. Just stay away from any of those books and read shit like GL, Lucifer, Young Animals,…

Well they hired Anthony Burch so....

Why do they miss the point of dollar reprints so hard by doing parts of larger stories instead of standalones?

>November will have another cover gimmick, Acetate Cover and solicits for the titles participating were released as well.
The fuck? Are we back in the 90s? Why the fuck is DC wasting money on gimmick covers for random issues? At least many of the ones in the 90s were targeted for specific issues. DC is just doing line wide stunts with these covers. This is idiotic. How the fuck is this good for sales? I still see those lenticular covers in bargain bins and grab bags.

As much as he hates Nightwing and Robins?

It is funny because Didio made fun of variant gimmick covers and said they were bad.

Hypocrite should practice what he preaches.

>Dial H
It’s fucking great. Too bad the sales is shit
>Aquaman
I hate to say it but KSD’s run is pretty ok. Actually moving the relationship between Mera and Arthur is good. I guess her actual problem is writing corporate mandated yass kween slay characters.
>Supersons
It’s fun but too bad it doesn’t matter because of Bendis.

His New Superman run is always a good starting point.
It’s probably Burch himself, Bendis admitted he writes his own solicitation a while back.

Geez. And I thought the usual omnibi were too big.

Can’t wait for that. Hope that he expand the cosmic scene even more with season 2.
