>is cunt to everyone around her because she wants prove she's the smartest and wants to always be right >Doesn't give a single dam about anybody else's feeling >abnormally smart >Only excels in math and science >Horrible social skills
Can her character really be fixed if marvel just said she has high functioning autism?
I don't know user, you literally just described Tony Stark's entire character
Alexander Butler
>Can her character really be fixed It already is fixed in her comic. She has a friend and family along with an A.I. based on her dead best friend.
Asher Peterson
>invades a foreign country and no one gives a fuck
Fuck yeah colonialism!
Brayden Roberts
Tony was her best friend?
Luke Flores
>that origin comic where she literally fucking asks the teacher to patronize her and tell her she can’t be like Tony Stark just to be motivated to do so
>Can her character really be fixed She got fixed first in Champions, then in her new ongoing. Always suprising how a character can improve once they are away from Bendis.
Luis Ortiz
Tony can be social
Wtf, implying Latveria didn't have schools?
The quaint European village look is just a facade Doom likes. His country is full of scientists and engineers. To do the busy work that is beneath Doom.
>When written by Bendis, no one likes her >When written by Ewing 2, everyone likes her Is Bendi really that awful? DC just got themselves a fucking timebomb
Tony has people that he'll admit (in private among trusted friends) are smarter than him.
Austin Smith
DC does win, but then they shoot themselves in the knee thinking that they can do no wrong.
Wyatt Turner
Sideways and The Silencer are both decent new DC books. One is cancelled and the other will probably follow soon
Lucas Sullivan
Still better than Moon Girl
Logan Perez
>when written by Bendis: "i'm the strongest, everyone else is dumb, fuck this Stark dude i can do this job better than him" >when written by Zub: Riri: "I bet i can take on Thanos." Thanos: "lol shut the fuck up." Riri: "maybe i should reconsider my place in this universe, let's stop pretending to be Iron Man and make my own design." >when written by Eve: the character finally feels real, doesn't act like she is the best of the best and calls Tony Stark "sir"
The change was progressive, and while i like what Eve Ewing is doing, we have Zub to thank if she became an actual character now and not an empty virtue signal.
But to answer your question: yes, Bendis is shit and i hate that he'll keep getting royalities out of her.
Chase Hughes
Silencer just ended
Noah Martinez
Why black people in comics look so fucking ugly
Lucas Bennett
How long until we get Illuminati II: Teen Girl Bugaloo.
There's an angle to play in there somewhere that Bendis only sees black people as an opportunity to make IPs for royalty checks, since so often he seems to make offensively bad black characters and then toss the ball to better writers to fix them.
Gabriel Butler
Both of them have been canceled, there are very few good DC comics left like Terrifics and Green Lantern
Zachary Taylor
But that sounds like lower functioning autism, idiot.
Alexander Morgan
and how long will Morrison stay on GL, then there will be one less.
Austin Martin
But Tony fucks while guys don't even want to know RiRi.
Lucas Nguyen
It's going to be at least 24 issues.
Sebastian Walker
She can build her own husbando she gonna be alright
Carson Miller
Is this an edit.?
Oliver Murphy
I would hug
Jace Watson
Thanos does not need your hugs, but he appreciates the sentiment.
Jason Carter
reminds me the exchange Hank and Amadeus Cho had back in Slott's Mighty Avengers.
same results?
William Torres
Is there an uncensored version of the edit?
Adam Edwards
Has any other super scientist but Hank Pym ever reacted to how freakishly smart Peter Parker is when he's putting in effort for once? I know Reed is aware but Peter is basically a part of the F4 family so that may not count.
Dylan Hall
The current writer of her title and Jim Zub on Champions is already doing that
That just seems like character development, and you're mad at Bendis for having to write her at her low point.
Christopher Adams
>this is modern comics
Where did we go wrong
Joseph Bennett
Sounds suspiciously like Tony Stark.
Levi Hughes
Before other writers came along, there wasn't character development. She was just a shitty character Bendis assumed was already lovable.
Evan White
That armor was still better than the one she had after it, which was just another Iron Man suit right down to the colour scheme but with a better ass.
If anything she should have kept to the style of her suits being larger than her, just with more advanced tech she now had access to.
Benjamin Parker
Which is why people should be pulling a Black Vulcan on his characters to cuck him out of royalties.
Daniel Smith
Oh c'mon moon girl is atleast a qt.
Henry Adams
you know hawking said he didn't know his own iq score because caring about iq scores is for morons?
what is that?
Blake Scott
who was wrong here?
Angel Brooks
Dont forget how she illegally invaded a sovereign nation and usurped the throne
Hudson Martin
Doc Ock maybe? That did kickstart Superior-spider-man thanks to his sheer butthurt. Connors should have a general idea. Jessica Jones isn't a super scientist but she noticed that Spider-man can actually read the scientific papers AIM had when the avengers were raiding them. Bendis doesn't realize how smart Peter is supposed to be so he was technically dumbed down there but being able to sort out WTF those guys were doing after a few minutes of reading is pretty damn good. Tony Stark sorta noticed when he basically took him in as an apprentice before civil war.
Isaac Rogers
>what is that? In the Superfriends cartoon there's a thinly veiled clone of Black Lightning called Black Vulcan who only exists to spite Black Lightning's creator. It was a dick move there but doing it to Bendis is 100% justified.
Owen Campbell
>wholesome family of super-geniuses isn't comic books Leave you stupid casual
Easton Jenkins
>Stark only became a turbo cunt with Civil War
nope, he was a douche long before civil war
Liam Sanchez
that's brilliant
Cooper White
>Can her character really be fixed if marvel just said she has high functioning autism? no the odds of a black girl having autism are pretty astronomical
Lincoln Thomas
She's also going to go lesbian soon thanks to Vision's daughter.
Christopher Thomas
IIRC Mockingbird also was surprised somebody did remember(and understood!) her work as biologist
Nathaniel Edwards
Ock definitely does, last weeks issue of Spock had him tell off Pete for not being properly dedicated to the sciences and having a Nobel Prize. He's currently being extra dickish to Pete because he's trying to emotionally deal with deaths he's putting on his conscience from WotR [/spoilers]
Why is moon girl even still a thing, she's fucking awful.
Joseph Reyes
Teen super genius and her pet dinsoaur sells like gangbusters to scholastic.
Camden Hernandez
>That just seems like character development I know that, i was praising Eve and Zub for it. I'm mad over the fact that Bendis created her as a very cheap character, and then others had to clean up is mess. And in all of this, he'll still make money out of her.
Angel Howard
Diversity
Bentley Foster
Moon Girl for bragging about how smart she is without even saying hello.
Landon Miller
She's probably the biggest mary sue in fiction. I know that's a toxic term but it is completely valid here. She is all of Bendis's character excesses and weird obsession with identity rolled into one package. She is everything wrong with the modern diversity push. She is pure fucking cancer.
Nicholas Martinez
Yeah, that stuff usually happens over time, rarely does a character do a 180 in one issue like they did when comics were new. I'm just saying, maybe he was writing her like a cocky, headstrong piece of shit on purpose. It makes no sense to humble someone who is already humble, the fall is the interesting part.
Jeremiah Watson
Oh i get it now. No dude, he only went upwards with her. I don't think he knows what the journey of the hero means.
Owen Williams
does anyone have the page where riri is walking down the street making a cure for some deadly disease that affects men but changes her mind when some construction workers cat call her?
oh sorry it was posted in a thread about riri one time and i got confused
Justin Powell
Who should riri get bleached by?
Cameron Foster
nobody, fuck off bleachedfag
Caleb Cox
Franklin Richards
Jayden Evans
>She's probably the biggest mary sue in fiction >She is all of Bendis's character excesses and weird obsession with identity rolled into one package. >She is everything wrong with the modern diversity push. >She is pure fucking cancer. Ironheart has actual flaws in her character. If you want a "mary-sue" then try Bendis' new project, Naomi
Yeah I'm confused. Sounds to me like she's Tony which is actually a good thing. Maybe she just needs friends to show her good side.
Samuel Reyes
>Ironheart has actual flaws in her character. If you want a "mary-sue" then try Bendis' new project, Naomi No one is saying Riri dosen't have flaws and character now, but that she didn't have them until Bendis stop being the one in charge, before that all the horrible things Riri did before was presented as something good
Brayden Lopez
Wait, is Bendis seriously trying to shove his completely unwanted OC into Young Justice? I haven't been reading it, is that why it's selling like such dogshit?
Julian Phillips
>Maybe she just needs friends to show her good side.
Opposite actually, Viv tried to hit on her and she was disgusted.
Luke Gomez
Is DS9 underated?
Owen Watson
Wow, why is she such a bigot? This isn't what we need as a community going forward. How can she be a progressive hero if she won't even fuck a robot girl?
Jonathan Phillips
Among normalfags, kind of. Among actual ST fans it's the most disgustingly overrated show of them all.
Evan Miller
and it was her best suit
Chase Nelson
He has good social skills and can be extremely charming if he wants something out of you.
Josiah Gonzalez
You literally dont know shit. Tony is suppose to be charismatic and social, brainlet.
John Jackson
Wait, how old is Valeria now?
Leo Hill
On one hand, lolis make me rock hard. On the other, having an 8 year old that is smarter than the smartest people in the entire multiverse kind of bugs me.
Some people hate it some people love it. That's basically how it is. I can't personally say as I've put it off for awhile now.
Christopher Watson
It has, by far, the best cast. Quark is amazing. Garak is one of the best star trek characters of all time. Bashir and Obrien are bros for life. Sisko is a good leader unlike Janeway. Yeah, Kira is a bitch. Yeah, Dax only gets like 1 good episode and is basically doomed to be good as a supporting character. Yeah, Odo is hit or miss sometimes. But overall, amazing cast.
Christopher Nguyen
A slut just like her mom. Nice.
Jacob Stewart
You're both missing the point, which is part of my point. I never said it wasn't good. I said ST fans blow its quality ridiculously out of proportion in comparison to everything else.
Nathaniel Brooks
>Sue being coy and teasing to her husband as she recalls the time she nearly destroyed her marriage and ruined the lives of everyone around her for a meaningless fling.
Gavin Thomas
fucking slott
Hunter Ortiz
I think they said they've spent five years traveling the multiverse so around 10?
Nathaniel Gomez
The fuck are you talking about? Nobody likes Riri, because she's an inherently bad character.
Nicholas Ramirez
It would be easy to think that if you didn't actually read Bendis's Ironheart. Did you? Because, despite what Yea Forums may say, the problem with Riri wasn't really that she thought she was hot shit. That can be done well. The problem is that Bendis half-assed it like he does all his other modern work and refused to actually deliver on her character flaws. See, character flaws only mean anything if they actually affect the story, but they never did. Her overconfidence never got her into trouble. Her pride never pushed people away because she had no meaningful relationships besides her mother and Tony's hologram, neither of which were going anywhere. Her flaws, for all the lip service Bendis paid them, were never punished or even really acknowledged by the narrative itself. This came off as tacitly condoning them, and that's what *really* pisses people off - not a character being an asshole, but the narrative saying the character is right or justified in doing so. That's what really got people's goat. Personally, I don't think she was even that flawed - characters would *say* she has those flaws more than she'd actually exhibit them, since Bendis wrote her like every one of his other characters except maybe a smidgen more 'tude. She never angered me so much as she bored me. I know not everyone agrees with me there, though.
Jayden Wright
No, bendis is notorious for taking established characters and fucking them up. His Guardians run was so bad James Gunn warned people away from reading it.
Oliver Hernandez
Yeah that's what I mean. Some people say it's the greatest thing, but there are quite a few that really dislike it. You sound like you like it but not to that extent so I misunderstood. My point stands though.
Joshua Cruz
>Is Bendi really that awful? YES. Bendis hasn't given a shit in years.
Kayden Allen
I need lewd art of Riri in a sexy starfleet uniform
Eli Peterson
That actually was kinda funny. And what the fuck is that on Reed's face because calling it a beard is insulting to beards.
Landon Fisher

William Morgan

Caleb Sanders
>BENDIS ISN'T WRITING HER SO EVERYTHING IS FIXED NOW Anyone who says this only shows that they are an NPC who has no idea why everyone hates Riri, and Bendis.
Adrian Lee
So which series is doom's favourite? he strikes me as original series kinda guy
It's... It's a Skub issue, pretty much. You've got people who love and people who loathe it. In essence, it's the ZZ Gundam of the Star Trek franchise.
Jordan Rodriguez
He's not wrong.
Andrew Kelly
Not really, Tony is a dick in a normal alpha male kind of way. He's not autistic or obsessed with proving his intelligence. He just is very smart.
Jason Foster
>being in all Inhuman Traitors and return them to face justice on Nova Hala IV. Don't listen to him Lunella. he is trying to make you into a mind controlled slave named Vox to serve the the Kree army. jokes aside that panel pretty sweet.
currently men are more likely to be diagnosed as autistic.
i say 'currently' because a school of thought suggests that autism - particularly aspergers - could be more prevalent in females however, because of the way Aspergers effects woman it goes unrecognized therefore under diagnosed.
woman with aspergers tend to have a more masculinised brain - meaning whilst they are not 100% socially inept they have the social needs of a male. Normal woman generally have greater social needs and are better at keeping social peace (being doormats).
As woman with aspergers have obsessions they tend to specialise, ie fashion, cats, economics, science, etc whilst being as socially capable as an average man, whilst lacking the weakness of a doormat woman (keeping the social peace). this gives them an advantage over aspie men, who, have high IQs but are socially retarded. This advantage in academia and the work place, whilst also being 'different from the other girls', and possibly having a past of being bullied by normie girls, all fuels narcissistic behavior. Many aspie girls develop narcissism. that would explain riri's behavior.
However, most writers are incompetent and know little of psychology and the human condition so their writing and characters are stunted.
Jackson Peterson
I always wondered can a woman with Asperger's become a better person or are they stuck on narcassism mode forever?

is she really that bad?
Adrian Clark
Yes
Daniel Lewis
it depends on environment. Does our society fuel female narcissism?
if a female student is especially good at stem do the teachers turn a blind eye when she acts bitchy? do the teachers constantly single her out with praise? Do her parents fuel her alienation from other girls by telling her she doesn't need friends and she can continue her social faux pars, because shes 'special' and the other girls are boring?..
Then again i know plenty of aspie girls that are like fairy cinnamon roles. I think it might depend on what they specialize in, and the environment of their specialty.
