I for one think drawing hair is a lot more challenging than drawing hands/feet

it is

Correct. I've gotten better at hands and now they're fairly easy but hair often evades me.

Perhaps it is for you, but I cant draw the forms of hands and feet right, hair is way easier for me, because you can get away with alot more

I suppose that depends on how you stylize hair.

For some characters its just going to be a plain and uniformly colored shape, for others it'll be one of the more detailed aspects of their design.

Everything is challenging, I can't even draw fucking faces.

Marcille a shit
Her ears are FAT

Apparently a significant portion of Tangled's budget went to animating the hair.

The secret is drawing more hats.

back muscles.
wrists and ankles.
hips.
knees.

drawing is hard.
drawing people is hard.
every part of the process is a challenge if you're not lazy or bad.

>back muscles
I feel ya.

Back muscles aint that hard if you have your anatomy books on the side :^)

Back Muscles seem hard but are easy with a little study. Hips are just a box in terms of rules.

Knees are fucked and very individual depending on muscle/fat/race/sex.

Wrists and Ankles aren't bad.

Hands/Feet are difficult because even when right, they can look wrong depending on the person. Hair can be difficult, especially to paint right, because of how layered it can be and how certain hair colours react to light.

I liked the way Chel's hair was animated: and and webm related (only the second was in the film, first was a preprod test drawn without reference, third a student exercise)

I dunno, hair can do a lot without looking unnatural while hands have very specific way they have to move

I need /fit/ Casca back in my life

Hair is easy to break down. It's just a highly flexible string that has two points: Where it starts and where it ends. If you ever get lost, all you have to do is sketch out a bunch of strings until you can see the general shape and then trim it down to just that.

Blood isn't that hard though.

She's even more cute when she's just woken up.

god someone really should invent a way to get the drawings out of your head onto the paper without all this god damn effort.

You can cheat at hair via stylization. Hands are hands.

What is this from?

Dungeon Meshi.

Agreed.
