It's funny, though. Soaps gradually fell out of style in favor of shorter, higher quality seasons, first with the prime time era of the 80s and 90s and then with the half-season explosion that happened sometime in the early 2000s and persists to this day.

That said, I guess QC fills the void for an every day soap aimed at people under 70. The remaining TV soaps are a bit ridiculous as senior citizens castigate each other for sleeping around behind their backs, and it's literally the same drama from 30 years ago, the same people complaining about the same rivals sleeping with the same partners.

There are other ways. Hanners could easily use her family's connections to refer some clients to Faye's shop. Or agree to fund some advertising for their business as an investment, with Faye paying her back at a fair rate only if business picks up. This would avoid putting Faye in unreasonable debt, and Hannelore's finances would not be significantly affected even if the business fails.

Post-singularity and post-scarcity are not synonymous concepts. Even if a post-Singularity decided to become post-scarcity (which it might not), it'd still have to identify and correct inefficiencies in resource extraction and distribution, then correct or replace systems to eliminate said inefficiencies. That'd take years even if one assumes that the entire world is operating on the same tech level, which QC clearly does not, or that resources exist in quantities that would allow for equalizing quality of life without diminishing anyone's existing QoL. QC doesn't even seem to have interplanetary travel, which would be a far more necessary component of post-scarcity than hard AI.

The thing with Hanners is already sorta canon. Way back during the space trip it's mentioned that Hanners used to be in a nigh-permanent psychotic episode with only Station being able to get through to her. Furthermore, it wouldn't even need to play matchmaker with Bubbles, it could simply edit Bubbles' personality to fit Faye's.

Yeah. Jeph backed himself into a corner by basically saying he wouldn't use Claire's transgender status for plot, so there isn't much to do with the character, at least not in a comic that's about not much more than shipping.
