I think I accidentally spoiled myself on a twist for Mark Lawrence's fantasy books, because I've been reading Prince of Fools and went looking to see why it was so clearly set in some version of Europe.

There's a bunch of X-Announcements, but nothing that's gonna change my non-buying habit.

this is a very fun issue

I'm somewhat interested in the relaunch, but I also know that if it ends up good it's going to send me down an X-Men hole, and there's so much X-Men stuff that it would like double the size of my backlog

The thing is, the Rebirth stuff is still selling worse in the bookstore market than the New 52 stuff was. "His" books still win in that battle

There's so much Bad X-men in the bank now that I wouldn't even bother teyig to catch up, even if I did want to start reading again.

I mean, when the map nakedly has Italy and places with obvious European names, and the characters start talking about the Jesu worshippers in Roma, you gotta wonder if it's alternate history or what.

Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact they still sold like shit, and readers were very vocal about how much they hated the line in nearly every aspect. Rebirth is probably selling worse because a ton of readers(wisely) bailed.
