These comics reminded me of a tumblr post Willis made about this storyline

I think it might have actually been the very first part of The Toedad Saga. I'd heard a few things about the direction DoA had gone in like "you came out whiter" and I was curious as to how stupid it had gotten now that Shortpacked was officially dead. Of course, I had no idea how things would turn out. I was even thinking of how the story would progress, assuming Willis still knew how to write.
