Pretty much, it had everything that makes for a great Spidey story, easily the best Spidey has ever been outside of the comics

It's a tie between this and Spectacular Spider-Man. The Insomniac version excels being a competent adult Peter with a Miles that isn't forced, while Spectacular does a decent telling of high school Peter.
Not necessarily just yet, but it could absolutely be by the time the series has time to conclude.
they really did the sinister six dirty in the game by putting them in for 2 minutes while spending the first half of the game around mr.negative's plot and just stupid shit like MJ gameplay

that's true but all the missions in the first half of the game has you exploring mister negative's shit when we could have been fighting members of the six throughout the game, putting them in jain. and THEN doc ock frees them and they become the s6 and you do the dual boss fights.
The fundamental concept of Miles is to jam him down the public’s throats. I liked him in the game because of but no actual spider-man fan will ever fully accept him. For its its only because bendis gets paid every time he’s used, so I’ll never pay for those comics
yeah, comics miles is still the most forced and the worst by far. it feels like no one knew what to do with him until ITSV. I'd bet Insomniac will take influence from that in the sequel.

I wouldn't go THAT far. See Miles is a half baked idea made from a faggot writer, but admittedly can be salvaged. I hated all the shit pushed with him years ago, but the game and Spider-Verse do prove Miles can have a place in Spidey lore. The trick is introducing him late in Peter's career, as a sidekick type thing.
Well see the funny thing is that this game was written by Chris Gage, the guy currently writing Superior Spider-Man. Miles only works in this game because he's not bogged down by old canon and editorial bullshit. And yeah it's basically becoming Gage's job to undo Slott's shit, just like Spencer

While I do feel Miles was a bit forced and I'm concerned that every spin-off starring Peter is eventually going to have Miles show up, I think they handled his introduction well, and I trust them to not have him steal the spotlight from Peter.

In the next game Peter will probably be mentoring miles and some early missions will have both working together. As the situation grows more serious Peter will have miles sit out so miles will go out on his own and have to be saved by Peter. Then Peter probably dies in the climax and you get to play the post game free roam as miles

What makes more sense is the symbiot takes over peter and as you play through the game as pete you see his changes until it corrupts him fully, the climax of the game is playing as Miles to stop Pete and put him back on the right track by getting the symbiot off. I can imagin they’d kill Pete off in the second game

The story was shit. Huge plot holes abound. Shocker got more of a boss fight than anyone in the sinister six. Retarded martial law and foreign military members operating in new york and other stupid shit. Game has huge gaps in plot progression and is overrated as fuck. Characters all look like down symdrome retards. Mj is worse than the nagger in the movies.
Lizard was mentioned during one of the back pack item explanations. Honestly I hope we’ll get mysterio in the second game he’s pretty much built for great side missions like the scarecrow missions in the Arkham games

How would a Chameleon boss battle work?
The next game definitely needs to step it up in boss battles, the ones in the first game were decent, but were too short and repetitive, barring maybe Mr. Negative.

Maybe a puzzle/strategy where it's a public event, disguising himself as various people in the crowd that you have to pick through, giving both Peter and the gameplay a sense of danger coming from any corner. Each time you land a hit, he adopts more strategy that pushes Peter to rely on quick reaction. By himself I don't think Chameleon is a strong boss fight beyond those gimmicks but coupled with Mysterio changing the environment or whatever it can be tense and fun.
It’d be like those car missions where you have to swing around a certain area until you find him, fight a couple goons then rinse and repeat that over like 4 missions until you finally get him
But MCU Spidey doesn't have quips during his final showdowns. Have you seen the movies?

That would probably work. Maybe at first you just have to eyeball some civies and attack him, then he changes it up and Spidey has to bust outa gadget that can detect the difference in Chameleon's body (if he's not entirely human in this universe). Alternatively, they could do something like the planned fight with Decoy Octopus from Metal Gear Solid 1, wherein you were supposed to figure out among which of the hostages was Decoy in disguise and then have him keep trying to blend in until the fight ended.
It's pretty fun. If you don't mind the samey environments it's worth playing.

I feel like they'll have some teases of Gobby, but maybe as a seemingly benevolent figure (though really just out to secure Harry's health) and then turn evil for the third. However, the idea of Hobgoblin using the tech first and then failing and driving Normy mad could also work. Also have to wonder if the Symbiote will be a one and done deal in the second game, or have a lasting role into the third and possibly beyond.

Well good thing it's not Marvel's call to make, Insomniac can make Miles be a sidekick for a while and then let him become a full Spider-Man by either the third game or maybe fourth after Peter probably bows out to settle down with MJ or whatever.
I'm curious as to how they're going to change Norman physically. He's pretty old and not in the best shape in the first game. I hope to God they find a healthy balance between tech-style and the classic look, and that they stay the hell away from Ultimate Shrek.
I could see him just being like most comics and the Raimi version; a dude who gets some gains from a serum. As for actual goblin monster, they could possibly have that happen as a sort of final form deal, like Norman goes even more insane and overdoses, causing him to mutate, which could be more interesting than "in this universe, it literally turns you into a goblin creature". Of course, I'd be more worried if it turns him into a fucking Leprechaun like in ASM2.
Not really. That was a fun and solid game, but the swinging was pretty much just making gym ropes appear to move around the few open levels and then quite a bit of corridor combat.

Well that's odd, I searched around and nothing ever showed up when I tried searching for that sort of thing before. You'd think there would have been quite a few vids of scenes from the game and Regular Show swapping Otto and Rigby's voices. Hell, I'd have imagined a bunch of pics on here with Rigby dressed as Doc Ock as well.

It's alright, but there's only so much story-content that you may want to either just skip them entirely or wait until there's a sale on the three packs. The extra challenges are pretty meh, namely the Screwball ones since it's usually just "slam this asshole into the ground while there's a spotlight on it" or "use the same one-two gadget combo to win points. As for the main story, it's certainly interesting, but if you're not too keen on Hammerhead getting cozy with Sable's tech, you might not want to bother. Still, the bonus costumes are pretty rad, but nothing you'll be dying to have in the main-game.

Not at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if by the holiday season Sony rolls out some kind of completed version with all of the DLC packed in and maybe a few new costumes that won't be added to the regular version until a later patch.

There's always a chance it might not happen at all. The game is much cheaper than when it launched, so it could end up that you just buy the base game whenever, and then get the DLC when that has a sale. Of course, the DLC isn't entirely necessary, at least not in the way some DLC is where you're up the creek without playing it.
