Why does Gwen’s Peter look like he’s in the same age range as the Peter B? Wasn’t a major part of her story is that she was dating her Peter before he got merked?
Why does Gwen’s Peter look like he’s in the same age range as the Peter B...
I guess this Gwen likes them with a little more experience.
They didn't have the budget for two Peter models.
Fuck, they didn't even have the budget for Lizard, thats why he's shown in silhouette. He's a stretched out Goblin model.
easier to copy and paste Peter three times than make three models
could've at least used a version of the texture without the wrinkles.
They say that was also true of the original Gwen
She's into older men?
She specifically calls him a friend, implying that no, they weren't dating.
Him being the Lizard also implies he'd have more of a Curt Connors role in her life.
she looks like she fucks boomers
>She specifically calls him a friend, implying that no, they weren't dating.
that's not how it works user
It is when there's no implications that they are in fact, dating. As is it's just another empty "you just know" thing that sex-depraved people on the internet say every time a man and a woman share a room for more than 2 seconds.
compounded by her lack of reaction/interaction with Peter B.
why would a grown man be friends with a female high schooler ?
Mentor? Neighbors? Aunt May was friends with Officer Stacy and had his entire family over a lot?
Hrs not supposed to be grown they’re supposed to be the same age. But the animators didn’t care, they wanted to get back to the tech demo
Maybe he's covered in wrinkles do to what the lizard dna did to him. Or like everyone else said that just reused the model cuz it was a short scene that no one would pay attention to.
Girlfriend for hire, like they do in japan or southamerica
>Hrs not supposed to be grown they’re supposed to be the same age.
Source?
The comics user, her terrible comics
Gwen's peter lived a really unhealthy life.
she specifically called him her "best friend"
the clear indication is that they're around the same age, plus just generally same-verse Gwen and Peter not being the same age range would be odd and they'd specifically need to make that distinction which they did not
Was Peter the Lizard there? This is pretty obviously an alternate version with an alternate history.
You'd think MIles the Peters having different stories from their comics selves would have clued you in.
>she specifically called him her "best friend"
>the clear indication is that they're around the same age
Not necessarily, no.
> just generally same-verse Gwen and Peter not being the same age range would be odd and they'd specifically need to make that distinction which they did not
Wut. Nothing establishes Gwen as being the same age as Peter in any of the universes shown in the movie. Peter B. is also not implied as knowing who Gwen is or even being vaguelly familiar with her face.
>Not necessarily, no.
Yes it is. You aren't typically
>best friends
with your teacher, she didn't call him her mentor or anything.
More likely they're around the same age than not, without any other information. Why are you even arguing this.
>Yes it is. You aren't typically
That's not how words work. Typical isn't the same as necessary.
>Why are you even arguing this.
Because the alternative is even stupider. They had a younger Peter model, the blonde one. Why are you arguing this? This is a movie with a spider that controls a mecha and pals around with an anime loli, a movie where nobody seems to mind people doing weird spider-shit with their masks off,and people having friends a different age is outlandish?
The blonde one was blonde, Gwen's Peter is brown haired easier to have him there for the split second scene. Keep thinking whatever you want
>he was my best friend
clearly the indication is they're around the same age, if they wanted it to be different they'd at least slightly hint at that distinction.
>That's not how words work
I uh didn't say typical = necessary
Why didn't Daredevil Kingpin meet Spider Verse Kingpin?
>The blonde one was blonde
It's not hard to change hair color on a model.
The hint at that distinction is that he fucking looks older and that he's obviously her equivalent to Curt Connors.
Your shit is just an assumption you have *despite* the character in the movie specifically looking older. I'm not the one doing mental gymnastics here.
>I uh didn't say typical = necessary
>Not necessarily, no.
>Yes it is. You aren't typically
>mental gymnastics
She literally called him her best friend, the clear indication being they're the same age.
>obviously her equivalent to Curt Connors.
...? No? Peter didn't consider Curt his best friend, he's a mentor figure.
>Not necessarily, no.
>Yes it is. You aren't typically
big oof
>Wasn’t a major part of her story is that she was dating her Peter before he got merked?
No. The Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 wasn’t romantically interested in her world’s Peter Parker. He was introverted dweeb who she felt pity for and befriended but ultimately drifted away from as she grew more popular.
No broken nose.
No facial hair.
No wrinkles.
But he does have the same head structure as the other Parkers. Gwen also never dated Her earth's Peter. No malice in that though. She just didn't know how Parker felt about her before he went full Lizard. That failure to recognize Parker's affection is a major component on why Pete made the lizard serum.
>Was Peter the Lizard there?
Literally yes he was. Why pretend to have read the comics if you haven't?
he doesn't have grey hair or the stubble
the wrinkles are just an indication that he's haggard after being the Lizard, and you only see him for .2 seconds
>Was Peter the Lizard there? This is pretty obviously an alternate version with an alternate history.
Dumbass, Peter was the Lizard in the Spider-Gwen comics.
I have one and I live in texas, it's pretty okay
Because they literally fight crime together on a daily basis? Peter doesn't seem like a guy who would be hard to befriend.
Why is it so hard for people here to fathom two people of wildly different ages being friends or even best friends without any romantic undertones? She's a teen not a toddler, they spend tons of time together and must know at least of the other's life outside of crime fighting, what else do you even need to be friends with someone?
I don't know where people get this idea you can only be friends with people of your age group.
For a two second shot?
Man, fuck you
>all the zoomer cope in this thread
>all the sneeder feed in this thread
am I doing it right?
They literally went out of their way to avoid the “they dated” thing so it wouldn’t be awkward when she mentioned other, older Peter.
Also so they could have a shipping plot. Fucking bullshit really.
you sure are
What?
Him being the Lizard is something from the Spider-Gwen comics, but they where both school age.
Wonder if Harry Osborn and the Mary Janes are a thing in this Gwen's universe, given her no friendship thing.
I mean it's possible but to question whether it was intentional when the material it was drawing from has Peter the same age isn't illogical.
It's a split second in a film that was already pushing the boundaries so it wouldn't be illogical to reuse an asset.
It also raises the question of why Gwen doesn't react at all to seeing a Peter that looks exactly like hers.
You could say she's used to comic bullshit like that, which in turn would raise the question of wether Peter B Parker also had a Gwen and was likewise just unfazed by it.
Ayyyyyyy.
I kinda hate how brief her origin is and at the same time I can recognize that it would had been overplayed to expand on it
When she says she’s avoiding “friends” in her intro she explicitly looks toward a couple waking past her on the sidewalk.
>tech demo
Stop using Yea Forums terms that have no meaning.
probably didn't want to bog down the narrative too much.
Its important to keep the story tight.
I have been meaning to go down to the drawthread and request Gwen reenacting that scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where the college girl writes "love you" on her eyelids and makes Indy uncomfortable.
>Young teacher, the subject
>Of schoolgirl fantasy
>She wants him so badly
>Knows what she wants to be
>Inside her there's longing
>This girl's an open page
>Book marking, she's so close now
>This girl is half his age
what you mean she didn't react? She disassociates the Parker from her world and the Pete of 1610 and 616. She even gives Parker advice before he spills his guts to 1610 MJ that they aren't the same person.
it's not like she's used to jumping into different verses, seeing her dead friend again should have had an effect on her. I would have liked to see something between the characters seems like a waste not to after giving her that backstory.
I know, which also raises the possibility that Peter also had a Gwen, even one who died.
I mean I guess it's not relevant if you consider him to be Raimi's Peter but I think it's more fun othewise.
The thing is that ultimately this was Miles movie
Probably to save a buck on a teen Peter model. Kid Peter probably doesn't even have a face modeled
