He does for those he feels he can help and save. It's just that he's normally facing off against those that need a fist in the face. Here, have some more feel good Batman moments.

He uses it all the time, knowing how your opponents feel is very useful for the prep time.

Batman's empathy only works on weirdos and nubile young wards.

I'm sorry but how do you not pick up that batman is bruce wayne when hes literally handing out business cards. Fucking hell.

Because he prefers more physical rehabilitation.

Well it can get awkward

Most of the people he fights are either career criminals or hopelessly insane supervillains who can't be reached and calmed down in the space of a single conversation. I agree that it needs to happen more often though. Once in a while Batman should be able to talk somebody down.

I dunno, I'd figure he just works for him.

He did it often in the animated series, it's some of his best moments

Ellie making it out ok and being in a better place is one of the few things that are hope to the end of Morrison's run. Batman Inc's ending was fucking bleak, but at least Ellie proves that Bruce being Batman is not at all a terrible thing.

In general nobody really puts the clues together. Under Morrison he's done some things like have Bruce anonymously go online to put out that Bruce Wayne is Batman so people will call him out on it. And of course he makes an announcement that he is working with Batman and that's the setup for Batman Inc.

It's also revealed tht Bruce Wayne had been funding Batman for years so... couple that with numerous stories in which he has someone else put on the cowl and make an appearance where he's present as Bruce Wayne and... yeah. It's become such an overused joke that "hur how can nobdy kno Bruce iz Batmanz" that nobody actually stops and uses in universe logic anymore.

Bruce Wayne is a well know philanthropist, and he probably employs like 20% of Gotham's population. It doesn't take a genius to figure that Wayne Industries is a good place to look if you need a job to get back on your feet. On top of that Bruce Wayne does often work with Batman publicly, so it makes sense that Bats would have some business cards and direct people who need an help to Bruce.

I liked what Priest did when Deathstroke found the batcave under Wayne manor and told Bruce to call out Batman. He then says he won't allow himself to believe that Bruce is Batman. Because we've seen in the past when someone finds out his identity and Batman uses that to his advantage, usually having someone pretending to be Batman while he's around as Bruce.

These two panels make every other instance of Morrison Batgod wanking worth it.

Planetary/Batman is so fucking good for this. Golden Age Batman's speech at the end is perfect.

That arc was pure fucking trash.

Because writers think people would rather watch him punch bad guys in the face?

Under Morrison, Batman has been conclusively beaten, as in he would have fucking died if his foes weren't dicking around or if there was no one to save him, by
>Bat-Bane
>About 30 ninja man-bats
>Bat-Satan
>Bat-Dad (False)
>Granny Goodness
>Talia
>A frail old man with Alzheimer's
Bruce only becomes a batgod with prep time. Mind altering chemicals and ambushes can and do lead to his defeat.

He's a billionaire, he doesn't have any empathy.

Bat-Man survived that?

Who’s she?

Batgod was more of a thing during Morrison's 90s JLA run. Then again everyone was borderline godly.

Damian saved him in that instance. The Alzheimer gas really really fucked him up.
