Kagami and Marinette are randomly paired up to play a game across Paris, where the goal is to find where a celebrity is hiding (the sponsor picked Adrien, no shit). Marinette initially wants to sabotage them and lose so that Kagami doesn't meet up with him, but through a couple of events she realizes that Kagami just wants to be friends with her. Kagami's mother is akumatized when she finds out her daughter signed up to the game, fight etc etc.

Marinette casts lucky charm and gets a movie ticket, she goes to the cinema and it's Fu hiding out with the miracle box. She takes the dragon miraculous to Kagami, the audio was super poor so I didn't get her superhero name but it's a clever fight. It ends with them hanging out for real.

I'd say that Snake is more op than the Monkey since the Monkey only seems to work on other super-powered beings/miraculous holders.

Monkey has a huge desadvantage that the Banana seems to be easy to avoid for any regular magical being, and its just one shot. Thats why Master Fu needed someone with good reflexes to wield it.

Dragon is crazily OP. It should have at least a timelimit to use the powers, like a 30 sec boost or sth.
Also, the bunny is objectively better than the snake and the horse, since it seems to be a mix of both.

Not really want it to go that edgy, but I hope Chat Blanc can start something towards Adrien's own personal growth as a person.
Also, the status quo in this show is just desperate for a change, so I wouldnt really mind Chat start looking for his own path as a hero or even going to the dark side for his own personal reasons.

Literally just that. Ladybug acts perfect in costume because she feels she has to for Paris but without the immediate responsibility of saving the city on her mind she's a jealous clingy neurotic spaz.

While Adrien acts perfect in public because he's the face of Gabriel's company and he'll get hell from him if he doesn't, but as Chat Noir he doesn't need to worry about that.

They're very good at comparmentalizing their thoughts and hiding their character flaws when there's a burden put on them.

But it's not perfect. Marinette has trouble focusing even as Ladybug if Adrien is around, while Adrien can be just as serious and focused as Ladybug if his father or Kagami or someone he knows is involved directly.

Obviously, but I'll take what I can get. Two episodes of Chat/Adrien being a proactive member of the cast is better than the number we currently have.

It's more than a little disappointing since even Sailor Moon let Tuxedo mask be part of the Big Bad's ensemble for practically a whole season.

If they do that it would absolutely, permanently remove any kind of agency Chat has over his own actions. Letting him go rogue on his own means he can think for himself, having him "go rogue" because of being Akumatized just solidifies he's forever going to be someone's pawn (either Ladybug's or his father's).

I'd watch it. I could see Plagg's tendency to be the devil on Adrien's shoulder being played up even more while he encourages him to let loose and have fun.

Honestly, the fact that Adrien doesn't take his job too seriously as Chat and doesn't utilize his powers as much as Ladybug is probably a good thing from Fu's standpoint. It makes sense that if you're going to give someone what's essentially a one-hit kill move, and trust them to still be heroic with it, you would need to pick a person who's less likely to be proactive with their powers and extremely hesitant to cause harm. Just look at what Plagg did in Style Queen when he didn't have Adrien to keep him in check.

Also interesting to note that while Marinette is more driven by a sense of compassion for victims and justice for antagonists, Adrien is compassionate towards just about everyone, even antagonists. How he approaches Chloe and Lila compared to how Marinette does are pretty good examples of this.

Honestly though. One of the main problems I have with both Adrien and Luka as Marinette's love interest is that they're really only allowed to be 2-dimensional good boys in order for the story to let her be interested in them. In Luka's case, it's especially egregious since Adrien at least has Chat Noir to fall back on.

Same, it's one of the reasons I have no desire to ship Marinette with anyone and further adds reason to just dislike her. She's barely interesting, add that the show is okay with her being incredibly shallow with the guys she's paired with, and that it's all dragged out because everyone knows if she had even an ounce of confidence that Bridgette has--She and Adrian would have been dating a long time ago.

To a point, however Marinette actually tried to reason with Hawkmoth and get him to surrender nicely on Heroes Day while Adrien just blew him off that he was pure evil and nothing he wanted to wish for could possible be good.

Which is an interesting reversal of their usual dynamic. They're the strongest in that they can create or destroy anything and combined can alter all of reality.

That doesn't translate to the best at fighting. In fact many Miraculous have powers that while not as cosmically powerful are better at outright combat.

In fact the Ladybug Miraculous is probably one of the worst in terms of actually fighting things, requiring a complex plan with a random item to trip up the Akuma.

But since the Akuma are custom designed to require her powers to defeat it's the most important.

I think the point if you could call it that was she was pissed that he was so apparantly devoted to Ladybug just to instantly forget about her as soon as someone else showed interest which suggests he's just a thirsty desperate guy who'll chase after any girl that gives him the time of day.

Again when an episode is finished and sent out, which isn't in order because Zag finishes the easier to animate episodes first the European networks air it the instant they can because it's that popular over there continuity be damned.

It doesn't help that Astruc and Zag specifically sold the show of them as "No continuity you can air it in any order" so they're just doing as the contract says.

The more important and intensive the episode is, the longer it takes to make. That's why Party Crasher who's fight was mostly stills and only had one new transformation sequence aired before Startrain which likely has sequences in space as well as a high tech space train in addition to Max's transformation, or Reflextdoll which not only needs to have the various Reflecta's animated differently like the first episode but also two new transformations for the hero swap (possible 3 if Mayura transforms) two new main character models as well as maybe 2 stock footages of the Lucky Charm and Cataclysm swapped.

All of the episodes yet to air all have important stuff happening in them, so they take longer, meanwhile all of the filler eps of just standard Akuma battles were finished first.

Which country are you watching the episodes in?
Here in Germany, I think I've only caught the episodes Backwarder, Weredad, Chameleon (didn't realise this was season 3) and Oblivio; the rest have been reruns.

This kind of makes sense, the quality of the animation is going up each passing episode. I just hope those episodes to come will have more and more scenes made by the old studio in high quality. So far I think only Puppetter 2 was made in good quality.
