Old idea for a Caine episode from previous thread

She breaks Varian out because she heard he's a badass super villain who nearly killed Felonsbane. Finds out he's a scrawny dweeb with daddy issues and feelings of inadequacy. They bond over daddy issues and Varian comes up with the idea of sneaking into the palace to find where her father is kept. Right before the mission starts, she promises to help Varian save his father. In private, Varian drops the shota charade and sneers.

I wished Staylan remained an enemy of Raps for longer. She and the Baron seemed like the perfect foil to Eugene and Rapunzel. The Baron was a successful Flynn Ryder who truly became rich and got his own island. Staylan was the seductive foil to Rapunzel's innocent do gooder.

Plus it was also a nice fight to see to Eugene's charming rogue vs absolute unit.

They actually defeated Cassandra and Eugene in the jail episode. And they almost escaped by making the captain have to choose between saving his daughter or beating them. I think they're quite capable.

We can also argue Andrew once defeated and chained Raps and Cass and he stole the tunnel map for Saporia's strike back, but it wasn't counted as a real threat because the general atmosphere of the episode leans to comedic rather than serious/emotional, so the same for the episodes with Stabbington brothers.

While Rapunzel appears to ride side saddle normally (unless she needs to go fast), as befitting a lady, Cassandra rides with her legs splayed like a fucking man

Seconding Al. Eugene would warm up to the rogue and treat him as a fellow bandit, just like Lance. Also Aladdin isn't known for flirting with every woman he meets, so he wouldn't be seen as a threat.

Eugene may also get along with Hans, but find him stuffy. Hans would use his social chameleon tactics on Rapunzel, after which Eugene would grow increasingly mistrustful of Hans but be unable to convince Raps to not trust him until it's too late.

Tangled/Aladdin crossover fucking when? They both had an animated series that continued the plot of the film, and there's really no reason why those shows couldn't have taken place at the same time. Agrabah is way far off in magical Disney Arabia, and on top of that it doesn't seem to be any more or less advanced as a civilization than Corona and the rest of the lands where Rapunzel roams. They're both kind of stuck in a Disneyfied Middle Ages. It could work.

That's because Frozen 2 is the basis of disney's new aesthetic design. What happened with Break it Bob was that they updated all the princesses to this new design type, including Rapunzel and Merida who while already being 3D princesses, were still in the "old" category.
In other words they've streamlined everything to Frozen style. Notice that in Shatter it Shaun Elsa and Anna look nearly the same as they always do except for larger heads to make them more cartoony.

admittedly those are exceptions for being masterfully done in a unique style. But I think Disney should have given Tangled and Frozen to Pixar to work on because they are actually good at cg animation.

Tangled's animation style is still considered unique and brand new when it was released in 2010. Also there are lots of 2D animators to assist the presentation of their artwork in 3D. But the later productions of WDAS just didn't try hard to develop other new and refreshing art styles.
