Do you anons buy floppies? Where do you store them all?

I only have about 40, so I just keep them on my shelf for now

I own a longbox and I am slowly filling it with IDW Sonic floppies.

I've only actually bought like three volumes since I got into comics. The combination of being able to read whatever comic online and just buying a fully omnibus or volume makes it so I don't see the point of them for me.

Only a fucking faggot buys floppies

>own a bunch of old horror and sci-fi floppies

I think they're based, fucking deal with it you goofs

spend the extra couple bucks and get boxes that are interesting.

I don't buy comics anymore. 99% of them retain zero value and aren't even worth keeping around as reading copies because you can read almost anything digitally/online now. They just end up as wastes of money and space.

Yes buy floppies but don’t treat them like tax returns that need stored

I agree with you 100%. But yet I have like 30 boxes of stupid shit. Working at a comic shop doesn't help.

I have probably close to 1000. I have them in long boxes in a closet.

I haven't bought floppies since about 2006. It's just horrifying value, paying more than $2 for something that is full of ads and takes less than 15 minutes to read.

>no themed box for every character
would be cool for organizing large series if so

TPB's for immortal hulk cost around 16 bucks and contains 5 issues each volume
floppies cost 3.99 so you are pretty much spending 4 extra dollars per volume, so not much of a loss

i still prefer floppies though since you get a digital code, and some of the covers are so good I honestly feel no shame in framing them and putting it on my wall
also i just prefer the feel of opening a sleeve and reading a floppy

Paying $20 instead of $16 for the same media but loaded with ads and in a less convenient form factor is definitely a bad value.

>i just prefer the feel of opening a sleeve and reading a floppy

There is a weird ritual and physicality to it. Much like putting a record on.

form factor for storage i agree, TPB's are objectively better for storage and organizing

but floppies are still better for reading since you don't have to break the fucking spine to read shit between pages

> since you don't have to break the fucking spine to read shit between pages
I own hundreds of tpbs and I've never had to do this.

I have 3 short boxes and a shelf full of trades. 2 of the boxes are floppies the other is trades and manga. I buy floppies and have like a 11 book pull list with my LCS. In my mind if I want a book to keep going I got to buy the floppies and not just wait for trades or hardcovers.

I bag and board after I let the floppies pileup on my desk for like a month. After like 4 years of actually reading and collecting it's starting to pile up and I need to organize them. Also I like to buy short complete series in floppies at cons when they're on sale. Some of the 10 year old adds are a blast from the past.

really? it fucking frustrates me to no end when a two page spread is obstructed by the crease between pages
nervous to by hardcovers because i feel like it would be 100% worse

TPB's really killed the full spread and now issues progress weirdly, because they know that the real moneymaker will be in the trade.

I store my floppy in yours moms pussy

I use a magazine box.

I only have enigma (8 issues), seaguy (2 volumes/6 issues) and about 20 issues of sandman mystery theatre that never made trades.

I sold the rest years ago.

I dont even buy 2000ad anymore but I did have all progs and megazines from about 98-2008.

You been buying 2000ad trades?
Rebellion are shit for losing half the page in the centre.

Cringe

I have an X-Men and DC Bombshells box like that. I might need that Vampirella one too.

I tend to agree in the sense that there arr issues you sometimes simply can't find or are to pricy, but i get why people wants to get floppies especially since they started following the series from the start.
