I'm sorry to hear this. Going by his IMDB page he's had a long and storied career, starting on absolute shit like the Robocop TV show and working his way up to do special effects on The Shape of Water. Damn shame this happened after he was getting more recognition.
That said, given the visual effects of Titans, I find myself genuinely morbidly curious as to what happened. The show is trying to do comic books special effects, in real life, with an unimpressive budget. I feel ghoulish for even asking, but could this have perhaps been avoided if DC/Warner wasn't trying to do comic-movie visuals without the budget of comic movies?

That means they just have to scrap the stunt they were planning and do something else in its place. It doesn't shut down the entire production when the accident happened elsewhere from the actual shooting. At worst they probably need to get replacement stunt coordinators.
