Good and an improvement on Season 1. My favorite episodes were probably the D&D episode and the one where Adora gets infected again. I didn't really care for the storyline with Bow's parents. Just cause they're gay doesn't make up for a generic "my parents don't support the thing I do so I hide it" episode that almost every show has.

They new enough about the old alliance, of which Glimmer's parents were members and she herself was old enough to remember. They should have been aware of who she was. They should have at least have known that Bow's school was fake.

The season really did flesh out the horde more. I'm just annoyed that the princesses got shafted. It really felt that they had to cut out some storylines about them as a lot of shit is set up or hinted at, but never resolved.

Because they didn't want to deal with the Princesses and their ilk and opted to remain isolationists who care more about their library, than their planet.

That's why the Horde has been running roughshod all over the planet for the most part, after a crucial battle where Micah, Angella's husband as well as former student of Light Spinner/Shadow Weaver, was lost during a battle along with other older generation Princesses, the Kingdoms fell apart and the Royalty only really gave a shit about their immediate castles and lands. Meanwhile everyone else was pretty much left to fend for themselves. One of the dads, the one with the short hair and moustache, lost his village and vowed to never fight or deal with the princesses ever again.

Why he and his husband got so many kids, they were probably orphans that WEREN'T picked up by the Horde.

A big theme of She-Ra is, that one shouldn't run away and keep their head in the sand when things get rough or difficult.

She may have wanted to save Etheria from the Horde, but only because she wanted the power it would taken to do so and she probably would have tried to keep that power for herself.

Was honestly pretty good, the only real downside was less focus on the Catra/Adora storyline, but since that's imminent in S3 I'm not too bummed.

The choice of a shorter 'season' is not a bad one conceptually, I think if you're dead set on avoiding the traditional weekly airing schedule then finding a pace that keeps people coming back every few months is smart. The only downside is if the increments aren't conveyed to the showrunners ahead of time, since it will interrupt the pacing of some stories if they were assumed to be given standard 12 episode increments. Imagine giving a book to publishers and having them break it into chapters and volumes based on the idea that readers only want to read books that are less than 500 pages long. You'd damage your own product by not giving it the context it was meant to be experienced in.
