I hope we get more Sasha and Co. adventures alongside Anne and the Plantars during Season 2, but I can't really think of what form it would take, other than trying to thwart the latter group. They're still the official peacekeeping force of the valley, but Grime's "nothing will ever be the same" comment seems to imply as much for him and his forces as it did for Sasha.
Sasha wants to work with the toads to get home and Anne wants to work with the frogs, but those paths are 100% incompatible for probably at least another season, so there's no way they're not going to come into conflict again unless they fine Marcy before then.

what might be interesting is if Grime's superiors (maybe whoever is boss nigga in Newtopia) summon both groups to deal with the rebellion situation
If the theory of Marcy being among the newts/salamanders follows through, she might be in the city where the three would finally be reunited and perhaps be forced to work together to deal with a situation threatening both the frogs and toads as well as getting more into the nature of the calamity box and why it's such bad news

Also, considering what just occurred between Anne and Sasha, Marcy's role in the group dynamic might change too depending on who she comes in contact with first.

Nobody actually important. In the episode where Sprig gets driven crazy about Croaker not liking him Anne tells him a story about a girl she knew that never liked her despite Anne doing all kinds of things to try and make her as a lesson that you can't get everyone on your side

Jamie was mentioned in "Cracking Ms. Croaker." She's some girl that Anne tried to get to like her by being her former, obsequious self.

My bet is that Marie ended up in Newtopia and we don't know enough about newts to actively theorize what that might be. My bet is that they're the most advanced technology wise given the few newts we have seen so far.

Really not related to the cartoony circumstances of donuts existing in Amphibia, but it really got me thinking about just how much more proactive Sasha was in influencing change vs Anne doing it by happenstance. Because when you think about it, both introduced radically different ways of preparing food to this world, but only Sasha did it in a huge way.

Early on at least Anne didn't consider her surroundings beyond the fact that a lot of them were deadly. She's also not accustomed to the lap of luxury that Sasha is, so it makes sense that she wouldn't push more than she needed to to simply live comfortably.

Sasha had a large force of frogs she was willing to sacrifice to get stuff like tomatoes.
Anne wasn't willing to send untold numbers to their death just for pizza.

She did a good job with it, with some help from her backpack of holding. I don't remember if we saw the restaurant interior again after that episode, but she did well helping him guss up that place too. If they were inclined to go that way they could have her working there be a recurring thing.

I was very pleasantly surprised by that episode, I was sure it was gonna go for a comedic end and have Stumpy hate her at the end and the restaurant return to being a shamble but no they kept a nice bond between them

Yeah, partly having to do with the review that newt gave at the end of the episode. Stuff like that, Hoppop's new stand, Polly's spitting trophy and others help to pull together what would otherwise just be episodic adventures.
The little interactions between the characters over time too, like the mayor somewhat improving his attitude, the constable's reactions toward HP, Anne and Wally's whole dynamic between that episode and Reunion, etc. The community feels real.

Probably 1.5x size of the girls, 2x at most, any more and it would be really jarring. Just large enough to be a significant one-on-one threat to any one human or amphibian, but not ridiculously big. With the fight choreography between Anne and Sasha actually being pretty decent all things considered, they've got some options for how to do a giant salamander fight.

I don't think it broke any "rules", but being able to completely transform people doesn't feel like something just anyone should be able to do, much less a shopkeeper and a child in the same town. It sort of dilutes the impact of magic ahead of what's presumably going to be a big reveal with the box.

Well yeah, any problem anyone has with a show is a "them" problem at its most basic.
Though I didn't like that aspect of it, I still liked the episode. If anything the bigger problem was that the tell that that guy was the actual villain was too obvious.

It does stick out as the only episode with magic in it. With the exception of this one episode and the calamity box, and maybe Grime's glowing eye, the setting is distinctly non-magical

She's cute, but compared to Sprig and Ivy and all the other frog children we've seen, she breaks from the aesthetic too much. She looks like an anime-ish froggirl instead of what Amphibia is going for.

Honestly, I'm glad I didn't see the concept art before watching the show. I'd be constantly dissapointed how human-like they made their society.

Sprig eats bugs in the first episode. They all eat bugs to varying degrees. And as mentioned, though we don't see it on screen for obvious reasons, they eat each other.
It is more accurate to say they're omnivorous, but if that's a dealbreaker for some then I don't know what else to say. Being generally accepting of the fact that cannibals live amongst you or that you're likely to be eaten buy them or some creature on any given day is still a decent a step away from human-like society, no matter what other parallels there are.

I don't see the connection between omnivores and carnivores.
Making them carnivores would be a thing making them more alien and different. It changes everything, their agriculture, their relation to nature and it's resources, how that shapes their society, etc.
Them being omnivores is not halfway towards that, it's not including it at all, it's just keeping them more human-like.

It doesn't really, though. In the concept art they're still farmers because they have to provide for their insectoid livestock. It's not hard to reach the conclusion that somewhere down the line they decided that they wanted to consume some of the literal fruits of that labor as well, and arrived where they are now in terms of diet.
The simple reason for all of that is that it's more relatable for both the main character and the intended audience if they're human-like in most ways, but taking it further it's not a long leap of logic to accept that they could end up the way they are now. Their relation to nature is still as a prey species that can itself only prey on the weakest forms of life in turn, unless they all band together, which is in keeping with reality as much as anything else.
The kind of society you're wanting wouldn't function as a society so much as a real-world food chain, which isn't really conducive to the overall narrative of the show.

I had a friend who I'd known almost that long (since 2nd grade), who completely changed once we got to high school and he became a selfish controlling asshole. I sort of forced myself to keep hanging out for a few years since we were "old friends" but eventually realized how much of an asshole he'd become and stopped hanging out despite our history. I think this type of thing is actually somewhat common. I think probably even more common in private school scenarios (like in the show) where a lot of kids in a given city tend to go to the same few private elementary/middle and high schools so people have known each other longer.

I've heard from others that in and after college he became a much better person but I never really got back in contact with him.
