Upon reflection, it makes sense that [threat at base of tower] got taken out by rubble.
The audience would never believe Sasha dropping herself into something like that,

That goes for the whole Valley. I just realized this but the state of the Tower confirms that this was their last attempt at gaining control. A hail mary of a plan, because not only was their grip getting loose on the Valley, but their HQ was crippled, too. The Toads had everything to lose, and now they've lost. Frogs rejoice.

I like they did not kill off Grime, keeping him as a potential villain that can evolve in a bigger threat over time with Sasha as his second in command going through her own arc and hopefully positive changes

Yeah, we know she's still alive. Grime saved her. But the sacrifice was genuine. Sasha is manipulative, but she still cared about Anne as an actual friend. Being manipulative was just a deep-seeded aspect of Sasha's personality and behavior that she pulls those same tricks with the people dearest to her and she doesn't even realize it.

Reunion was so great. I loved it. it was tense, emotional, and gripping. I also loved what they showed of Sasha and Anne, they have an interesting relationship and I can't wait to see what they do with it next season. The previous episodes were too formulaic for my liking, but I love the world. The characters and their society are nuanced, the dynamic between Anne and the Planters was great, voice acting was stellar. I love this show.

I love how Anne was so clueless and how innocence she was.in the school. She had 12.

Not really, they balance plot and filler well enough. I'd rather enjoy seeing them in their usual hijinks than a bunch story plot episodes only, which doesn't properly flesh out the characters and the world.

The second half of the finale is the best I can remember and the rest of the show is just as good.
Also I have to give it props for being one of the two shows in existence to actually incorporate dabbing without me cringing.

It was great. Did not expect to love it as much as i did. The characters are all likable and fun to watch, the world of Amphibia is neat and comfy. It is genuinely funny, has great voice acting, and is overall very charming. I personally see it as a 9 out of 10.

It's definitely up there. Compared to most contemporary cartoons like Gravity Falls or Steven Universe or Star vs., Amphibia has no fat on it. When it wants to do plot it goes all in. When it wants to do townie episodes we actually get a feeling for who's related to who and what their relationships are and you feel like you actually learn more about those townies who are also involved with plot stuff in some way. It probably has less plot stuff overall compared to those other series but the fact that it's a show that knows what it wants and has a realistic timetable of getting there helps.

Grime is such a good villain. Hes able to be both intimidating and funny and the same time without the two qualities trampling over each other.

The sequel to the first Golden Sun for the gameboy took place at the same time as the first and told the story from another perspective.

Didn't think I'd ever find myself watching a cartoon again, given the point I am in life and moving farther and farther away from consuming Television media. That said, glad I took a look to see how Disney could get away with vaporizing their characters and got intrigued (pic related). Some episodes were weaker than others, and although the show benefits from being episodic and light on the plot, the episodes I liked the most were the ones that focused on it. The ending was really good and I'm excited to see how Sasha and Grime's characters develop given that Sasha has a deeper respect for Anne and Grime a deeper hate.
All in all, given I only have anime and a handful of cartoons to compare it to, I'd say Part One was an 8/10, with the better episodes being solid 10/10s. All high quality stuff and I can't wait for more

Ah, so it's when the sequel takes place in a brand new setting with a brand new character while still continuing the story of the first part. I actually have something like that in mind for my own project I'm working on, but I wasn't sure if such a format would really work or be accepted by the audience or whatever.

It can definitely work, you just have to work harder to piece everything together and make sure every main character plus their supporting cast are all as appealing as each other

Golden Sun is/was a game series on nintendo's gba and later ds. (we do not talk about the third game though)
the first Golden Sun was a fatasy jrog where you travelled across the land trying to stop a group of bad guys from bringing alchemy/magic back into the world by powering up four ancient lightning houses, correlating to the four elements. at the end of the first game only two houses were lit, two main villains dead and a few secrets and motivations still unknown.
The sequel was set at the same time as the first game/shortly after (mere hours) and was from the perspective of a bunch of characters associated with the baddies by alliance and the heroes by shared upbringing.

The sequel continued the plot, revealed more of the light houses and why magic needs to be brought back and eventually resulted in the last third of the game focused on the parties of both teams joining up to save the world.

Oh. In my own projects, what I have in mind is continuing the story with a new protagonist in a new location, after the first protagonist's adventures in the first part, with that hero's actions having some large impact on the world as a whole that's visible to the new protagonist.

So like, imagine part 2 picking up with Marcy leading the rebellion or something, with the part 1 finale being a big thing for them because of the Toad tower collapsing and stuff, thus giving Marcy and the rebels an advantage, and we basically see Marcy as she is now after having already lived in this world for the past 3 months.

I liked him since the first clip was released. He was boyish, rambunctious, but not stupidly loud. It's not just Sprig, but every character in the show - no one's mugging all the time. Too many cartoons go overboard with personalities, but Amphibia always kept it natural.

The way I plan to do it is by introducing the second part's lead in the prologue of the first part, as an important character to the protagonist, and then sending him off on a plane to some other place effectively writing him out of the story until part 2 cuts to where he is in that new location. The protagonists of part 1 and part 2 of this project of mine are supposed to have a Phineas and Ferb type of dynamic. Meaning the loud talkative one that gets all the focus, and the quiet sidekick that's never usually in the spotlight and is largely just an extension of the loud one. Part 1 focuses on the loud one on his own solo adventure, and then part 2 focuses on the quiet one and fleshes out who the Silent Bob is on his own without Jay to be his voice and leader/idea guy or whatever. Part 3 focuses on a long-lost 3rd friend, with the general idea being that the group dynamic used to be like Ed, Edd 'n Eddy until the Eddy went missing a long time ago, leaving the Ed and Edd who developed the Phineas and Ferb dynamic between them in the years without their third bro. I want that to be explained in the prologue on some level, so that it all makes sense as the story plays out and jumps between character perspectives between seasons.

the good thing about this show is that it doesn't let things last longer than they should. Nobody really falls for teh toad's plan, Sasha doesn't lie much about hop pop fate once questionned, the girls conflict isn't slowed down by too much "yes, no, yes, no" dialogs. it goes to the point. A show written like Star vs or even gravity falls would requires 4 episodes for the content of that finale.

And will there be a battle to keep it from the human world too?
