I actually liked this....

Priest probably isn't the only one but it's really obvious how he doesn't fit his style to the subject but rather fit the subject to his style.

Having a strong style is a good thing but if there's litttle variations between different books, it can feel repetitive.

I hope I can snag the wrap around cover, but I doubt it

My LCS had all the regular covers. I went with Jusko after about ten minutes of deliberation and changing my mind twice.

I didn't really care for the FCBD issue, it felt like pure setup but the main series is great so far. I'm not familiar with Vampirella though outside of Millar/Morrison's run

I still like this idea Priest is running with, but that doctor is really fucking annoying and the dialog is Bendis tier during their interactions. Hoping it improves as the story moves

the thing about Priest is he gets hired to write like Priest. When he did Black Panther he initially did a different format but then his editor asked him to do the tv style writing he did for Quantum and Woody. And its been that way ever since.

Why all the variants? Is the book THAT good?

most of those variants are comic shops asking specific artists to do shop exclusives for them. Only about 6 of them are Dynamite covers, the rest are shop covers. But yeah, lots of shops hopping on board for this launch.

Ah, yeah my shop even ordered the #1 remaster or whatever its called from the old Vampirella books.
