honestly my headcanon for this has always been that within a couple months of any major event where more than maybe a dozen people die, said deaths will generally get retconned from happening, there are exceptions to this like what happened with Stamford, and it normally only affects Earth

He didn't in that issue. He had ink shooters instead of web shooters, and got around fine with tentacles. Again, why does Otto need to rip off Peter's bag? Isn't it more in character for him to want a name of his own and overshadow Peter? As far as spider characters go, we have Miles, Eddie, Flash, Gwen, Silk, Ben, and a fuckton of Spider-Women never used.

The Super Spider-Man Team Up issues during Goblin Nation. They're flashback issues showing Norman and Otto becoming friends and joining forces. Until Otto realizes that Norman is too crazy and they break up. So Norman decides to give his girlfriend AIDS and it ties into an older comic where Otto is trying to make a formula but fails and it wasn't explained why.

Dude that was the same comic that established Octopus had a rocky childhood with abusive parents and that the girl he was attempting to cure was his fiancée.
Just because they didn't expand on how she got AIDS doesn't mean it wasn't explained, at the time it was published Octopus trying to do good was surprising enough.

Last 3 issues all sold for 22.5k so it's assumedly stabilized there and will probably get an uptick with this issue since it's a new arc and the event tie in is over.

Soooooo... it turns that his constant deaths and rebirths while being experimented on caused his one soul to go back and forth and Death visited him and told him that doing good deeds help mend the soul. It's dumb and used to explain how the people that Ben brought back during the Clone Conspiracy aren't clones, specifically stated by Slott. They are the original bodies regenerated from being dead skeletons back to being the original people. This isn't the only time another writer had to clean up Slott's mess because Spencer had Dr. Strange tell Dr. Connors that his son is the same as he also has his original soul.

In the end Ben is healed. Don't know about Kaine, his body was decomposing but he might've gotten fixed as well.

Adding to what this guy said Kaine got one last clone rebirth in some inheritor pods that fixed all the degradation so he's a pretty boy again and I'm pretty sure Kaine is fine now but mostly via tanking it and being a badass since I don't think the fix was ever explained for him.
