Most of time i see this trope is because said character is too comfortable with the shit he does.
this hits close to home satan
Noooo poor baby
...
Why would you do this? Now I'm sad.
>character tries to do the right thing while other characters goof off
>character who was doing the right thing constantly gets in trouble while the others get off Scott free
>Boys vs Girls
>Boys are made stupid and the bad guys
Why should trying your hardest make you exempt from criticism? If anything it's more deserved because it's an accurate portrayal of your abilities, or lack thereof
DELET
>Boys suddenly are 200% sexist for the sake of this episode despite never once showing such behavior in their character.
>Did you mean: Teen Titans Go?
No but seriously, I hate how they make Robin out to be a cunt when he's just trying to be a good team leader.
Old school Spiderman
>goofball of the team fucks up at the start of the episode
>rightfully the team believes he'll fuck up again
>he saves the day in the end and the team has to apologize
one of the worst common plots in cartoons
there's still something tragic about it. The fact someone tried should always be addressed, despite the set standards. And making fun of someone isn't criticism.
Why does this image keep getting posted on every board?
What the fuck, Satan I didn't ask for this
Oscar from Proud Family
Cute and sad pilled
it's relatable and cute and makes you feel bad even though cats can't talk
>mc is cool and trusted by everyone
>new character is introduced
>new character does shady stuff and mc is the only one that sees him
>suddenly nobody believes mc and stop trusting him
>in the end it is proven that the new guy is shady but nobody apologizes to mc
No cat cares that much
Stop asking Satan for things.
Baby talk makes me wanna puke.
It's bizarre how much Oscar is shat on, despite being such a success in his life
>married a 10/10 woman in both looks and personality, and has decent kids
>owns a business and produces his own line of snacks (albeit for unintended customers), earns enough cash to afford an upper middle class house
>takes care of his mother and pays for her out of his own pocket despite how much she shits on him for not being his rich brother with the one-hit wonder song he produced a decade prior to the series
>has a bro tier mexican friend
>generally works hard to accomplish what he wants in life, and never lets the torment get him down for too long
>tfw this happened to me once without the sobbing
>people in the back of the classroom started chuckling and taking video of me
>later on I learned to just act confident, even if i'm completely scared about presenting shit
>no longer have any fear of presenting stuff, I speak with enthusiasm and confidence
>never had people giggle or chuckle when I present stuff
hate these fucking "uwu" memes but this hits way too close to home user
This this THIS.
People seem to forget that Robin is a teenager, and teenage boys can be annoying even if they don't mean to.
The dude just wants the best for his friends, that's all.
>That time the rest of the crew used his dead parents to pull a prank on him
>Oscar
He deserves better
I hate that plot so damn much
More relatable than the OP desu, except these fuckers never apologize.
KND subverted it
As much as I hate this stupid fucking show for every other reason this is one of the worst parts.
Anybody who even tries to do something nice is immediately put down while everyone else is rewarded for being a violent retard with no scruples.
Regular Show did this in its final season and I couldn't believe it. It was done better in the early Doug episode though it was still kind of annoying.
>in the early Doug episode
I should clarify, not the series Doug, the episode about Doug in RS.
>Light-hearted, easy-going character makes joke
>Super-serious gruff experienced character just scowls at first character
What the fuck is his problem?
HOLY SHIT THAT SOUNDS BASED
picked up
That sounds like the army desu
Yeah, real life is fucking bullshit.
People are legit shit and love doesnt exists.
>Anybody who even tries to do something nice is immediately put down while everyone else is rewarded for being a violent retard with no scruples.
Because it's shitty humor. It's always that same tone of
>accomplishes something, is proud, realizes no one cares and has left
>gives a really motivational speech, everyone sighs
it's that juxtaposition bullshit and its never funny
honestly I think this'd be fixed if they did something like this
>End scene
>After super-serious gruff character A went on some sort of journey with light-hearted, easy-going character B
>A admits they were wrong and that they respect B
>B is ecstatic and attempts another joke
>A scowls for the nth time at B
>A and B depart
>Show A walking alone
>They crack a smile and let out a chuckle huff
honestly I only like this idea because I like the idea that the gruff character just scowls harder to repress their urge to smile and laugh
>personality
Lol no.
>B is ecstatic and attempts another joke
>A scowls for the nth time at B
>A and B depart
>Show A walking alone
>They crack a smile and let out a chuckle huff
I could almost swear they did a similar joke in Batman the Brave and the Bold a couple of times but I can't really remember.
Man that was a good show.
What's wrong with Trudy, she seems pretty endearing
Assertive and generally sweet, with a sharp tongue when she gets pissed off
so does soul
>Character is right
>Nobody listens to her
Its an ok music genre. But it exists.
oh you cheeky fucker.
>Viren.
>Doug was in RS
for what purpose
I don't care if the user didn't make it, it is so fucking sad and cute.
He's unironically the only one who could take it. Best character on the show and he has the funniest bits. Also, you can't take TTG as anything serious. It's (admittedly brutal) meta humor. You shouldn't consider it as the Titans making fun of Robin
No it was just a character named Doug, he was an otter that stole Rigby's identity.
>New character acts like a cunt/is useless
>Established haracter calls him out/loses cool over multiple incidents
>Useless/Cunt character becomes sad
>Other characters suddenly have a go at established guy for yelling/losing his cool despite all feeling the same way moments before
Dulcinea in 1st grade.
>other characters apologize
> next episode, lesson forgotten
>New character acts like a cunt/is useless
>Established character tries their best to befriend them
>New character abuses established character in moderately cruel ways
>Established character does something nice later so it is okay
>New character continues acting like a cunt for the rest of the series
This 14 yo fucker did nothing wrong for his age
I would oversell the shit out of my nervousness leading up to a presentation, then when I got to the actual damn thing I would be just regular nervous and everyone would think I was crushing it.
Well, that's just Black culture my friend, its not about Success, its about Style. It's the same reason why you can see a thug wearing Gold Plated Copper necklaces, rather than a Rolex.
Seriously. Everybody always seems to forget all of those times he attacked the angels like an absolute badass just because he freaked out a couple of times in situations that absolutely made sense to freak out in.
>That one episode where the rest of the Titans forcibly sodomized Robin against his permission through tears blood and sweat. The constant look of absolute fear Robin has anytime he hears the song "La Cucaracha."
The joke of the episode is that Cyborg has his car horn play exactly that and Robin goes into PTSD induced panic attacks every time the horn is honked. That Beast Boy and Cyborg montage of beeping the horn when Robin is just trying to do normal things, like take a shower, eat cereal, and take a dook. The whole Robin laying in the shower crying as the city is being ransacked by Spanish Aliens was pretty rough. But the ending was great as Robin overcame his fear, got kissed by Starfire and became the new Batman...only to reveal it was all just a fantasy Robin created to take away from the fact he was being sodomized by Silky.
did you mean: Diary of An Awesome Friendly Kid
(Rowley's spinoff book)
Baww.
