They just want to keep Hal as far away from the children as possible.

>watch superfriends.
>watch 70s justice league cartoon.
>watching justice league now
who is this cyborg? Because he was on teen titans he is now everywhere? Static Shock has more character and happens to be black, he could be the counterweight to Marvel's spiderman, but no we gotta make Flash that. Hell I was find with a black green latern. But why the fuck should I care about this random ass cyborg?

Cyborg is from the 1980s Teen Titans comics.
And yes Static was better.

take the 4 no-bodys from this cartoon and make a Marvel like movie series. If Marvel can do it with Thor, you can do it too DC. Of course Warner will never have the deep pockets that Disney has to take this risk.

I'd exlude the Atom because lets face it, Antman's got that market cornerned.

was Black Vulcan meant to be Static Shock's final form? And he's got a simple, not overly complicated superpower, unlike Cyborg.

Apache Chief
El Dorado
Samurai
all these characters too racist to implement now? I mean they are good guys.

>a simple, not overly complicated superpower
in his pants?

>I'd exlude the Atom because lets face it, Antman's got that market cornerned.

If I were adapting The Atom, instead of giving him his own movie, I'd probably have him show up as a supporting character in a Justice League sequel. I'd model Ray Palmer after Richard Feynman, being this charismatic and witty professor, pretty much the "cool" professor that everybody wants to take a class with. His identity would be public, so he'd be known as the "superhero scientist" who splits his time between palling around with the Justice League and doing research/teaching students about quantum mechanics. Maybe he's even a pop-science educator who had a podcast like Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

He'd later be a supporting character in a Hawkman movie.

Geoff Johns' run seemed to make Green Lantern one of the most important DCU characters, and he seemed to be the fourth most promiment DC character after the Trinity (Wonder Woman was probably actually the fourth most important after the Trinity, with Hal being the third member of it).

The run drummed up enough interest in the character for casuals to take notice and WB to be interested in a film adaptation.

Then movie sucked, normies decided GL is lame, and it really seemed to deflate the character.

Since the CW show, The Flash has kind of supplanted Green Lantern's place in terms of notability.

why does john have kyle's mask?

Those are glasses.

El Dorado showed up a few months ago.
Apache Chief concept has been used a lot.
Samurai is tricky though because he’s just really generic.

why does john have kyle's glasses?

Black Vulcan is suppose to be Black Lightning. Static a different character and was created in the 90s.

Cyborg was in one of the Superfriends cartoons. Him and Firestorm were big characters in the series with Darkseid.

I thought DC execs only did Green Lantern because they thought Iron Man was only successful for the plane scenes

they really tried to pull cyborg then now it´s in the trash where it belong

They can't use Static or any Milestone characters but they still show up in Young Justice somehow. Now that I think about it who else besides Static and Sideways could be considered DC's Spider-Man?

>dc Spider-Man
>Original Captain Marvel's Spider-Man

Can dc use Spider-Man's name again? Not naming a comic bookbook title, but can they name just one character Spider-Man?
