As someone who used to like his work and now watches absolutely none of it he's always seemed like a bitter, cynical man, and if anything this attitude has only been compounded with time. He's unapologetic and won't let go of his pride, which is admirable in a way, but at the same time sometimes it just seems like he's kinda unpleasant and doesn't like the people around him, his fans, what he makes, etc. Maybe he isn't a bad dude, but it seems sometimes like that bitterness shines through in his work, how he conducts himself, talks to or about people, etc.
