Is He-Man technically an isekai if Queen Marlena is from Earth?
Is Flash Gordon isekai?
Can someone define Isekai for us non-weebs?
Going to "another world"
>Looks back at the weird shit I was obsessed with as a kid
>Looks at the nest degeneracy I’ve picked out for myself.
I knew there were some correlation.
Oh, ok. So, like Kidd Video, 80's Rainbow Brite, Arthur and the Knights of Justice, Bucky o'Hare, and the upcoming Forever Twelve?
Queen Marlena isn't the main character so I'm gonna say no
>Reminder that the canon ending to this cartoon is a fucking car commercial
Yes. Like the Narnia, Barsoom and Oz series.
Japanese isekai gets hate for using RPG conventions like the world was one big game. Or rather the overuse of that style.

Implementing experience points and character classes as some sort of natural real world function is what makes the isekai genre hyper autistic and awful to watch.
But you can blame the .hack// series for popularizing that garbage idea.
Anne-phibia
Never saw this. Fucking awesome.
Anyhow, I recall there was a really downer 'bad end' reference to the series as an Easter egg in Baldur's Gate.
>But you can blame the .hack// series for popularizing that garbage idea.
At least it made sense in .hack because that show was literally "kids playing VR vidya get trapped inside vidya and have to play by vidya's rules in order to escape". It's not like Lord of the Rings had little +1s pop up into the air every time Aaragorn killed an orc and have him say shit like "Verily, if I slayeth anothere 12 I shall uppeth mine level!"
Anime just sucks, is all.
Yup, one of the paintings in the biggest store in the first area after you escaped Irenicus' dungeon.
Says they were eaten by Tiamat.
>tfw no sequel or reboot
With how popular isekai and dnd have gotten lately, feel like it would be the perfect climate for it. Though there’s also the risk of PC and Cal-arts bs
Definitely
Samurai Jack, WITCH (I guess it does count), Code Lyoko, and I think that's all I can think of right now without repeating.
Would Billy and Mandy count? They do go to other worlds a lot, after all.

This. This is the truth. Cherish it.
this show make me wonder if they ever saw the games art, those are supposed to be Belmont, megaman and pit isnt ?
Yes but remember, his name isn't even Pit in the show. It's Kid Icarus.
Nothing
I hate that weebs try to force this shitty name on a style of fantasy that has been around since before anime even existed. Read a fucking book you brainlets.
>Captain N
>N
Did they say it
there's none because iseka anime requires the hero to die and be reincarnated.
>in before shit eating retard pretending isekai is because of the meaning of the word and not the anime title it rips off.
