Nah they were already trash. Ramona was descriptive, not prescriptive.
Unironically miles better than the comic.
why? the movie basically flopped and I don't know how popular the comics were
Id assume they had very little impact on anything. since im not going to listen to it what was the person's point???
What do you call that type of music?
Incel core?
I don't see how since no one saw that film
he brings up some good points without getting too heated, explains why scott pilgrim film failed horribly and it's nothing but a wet rag that you shouldn't bother with anymore.
yeah the movie bombed but the comic is still well liked.
Stop trying to shill your shitty music.
Good movies bomb all the time.
>its healthy to have an oneitis on a town's bike that hates you
the damage was gargantuan
The comic was a huge deal. For it's publisher Oni Press, it's basically their Watchmen(in terms of reprints and popularity not quality wise) .
It was a big trend setter for the creator reading it and was one of those comics that got people into comics. You would see it recommended like it was water. Like Watchmen it did inspire imitators many of them of you don't even remember.
*Lucky Penny
*Shark Knife
*Super pro ko
and boy the webcomics that I could mention. Supposedly the bean mouth from cal arts style artist also came from Scott Pilgrim too.
>For it's publisher
intel core
werewolf jones called it first
I like how werewolf jones was being a voice a reason until he had shit in his pants
that's the joke.
yeah, and I enjoyed the joke.
good, I'm glad the joke landed.
I also enjoyed the joke.
Oni Press was never a huge publisher. Not saying the comic wasn't popular but on the grand scheme of things I doubt it influenced all that many people besides artists who thought "well my art isn't very good but neither is Scott Pilgrims so I guess I can get published"
Nice quads, but this exchange eerily reminds me of "I really really really like this image"
Care to elaborate? How? Why? I liked the movie, what's wrong with it?
It's fun on it own, but it ommits large parts of the comic including some critical parts of Scott's character arc.
Pretty sure OP is just some bitterfag seething about femoids.
post sp waifus
Ramona has the tastiest legs, but Kim is the legit better person and gf material.
How would anyone think that? You think women didn't die their hair and sleep around before 2010?
movie kim is adorable
am not bitter because of my virginity.
am bitter over the movie fucking up comics
Thanks, I hope these quads bring the posters on this thread good luck all day~
With the exception of Cera, the casting was pretty spot on, yeah.
Sure
get out, zoomer
Scott pilgrim didnt create hipsters, or hipster trash, it simply exemplified it.
>did this comic based off a certain culture of people ruin people
maybe get outside hell even watch movies that aren't cartoons retard
>no archive, no greentext summary, just a clickbait title and a link
Eat shit, go advertise elsewhere.
Reminder that Knives was best girl, but Scott deserved Ramona because both are trash people.
I like jokes
wholesome quads
If you liked the comic, you might have seen the movie.
No one saw the movie then read the comic.
Only reason I knew of the comic, was because I was studying comics as an elective in college at the time. And Winstead is like the Mona Lisa beauty personified
>No one saw the movie then read the comic.
Plenty of people did, me included.
same
>No one saw the movie then read the comic.
I watched the movie many times and read the comic for the first time last year
Shitting yourself is a legitimate argument, elevate yourself my dude
Same
I watched the movie first and then started buying the comics.
I was disappointed that comic Nega-Scott was just everything bad about Scott, while movie Nega-Scott was just a chill cool dude in contrast with Scott who's a huge douchebag.
That was literally the point of the ending
Scott Pilgrim was taught and I shit you not in college at one point. Like you might only be looking at Cape shit which fair, but it was a huge deal. Like go back years and the last Scott Pilgrim book was treated like the Last Harry Potter book.
How could one movie do that for all comics?
How did Scott Pilgrim manage to be forgotten so quickly?
Most of the stuff in the movie was 10 years out of date; it was classic mid-2000s chic
so
all this shit is just pre-(mainstream)indie scene when it was back for incel nerds and the whole movie was just basically a "bullies look at me now"
at least its better than the arthoes that exist now since it was at least grounded in rebel culture and a resistence to the mainstream at the time (even if it was large)
arthoes are just asthetics first combined with subtle indie fashion
>Did Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World ruined a whole generation of comics?
>ruined
Nice grammar, OP.
>scott-pilgrim-vs-the-world-ruined-a-whole-generation-of-women
Nice bait-and-switch, OP.
