Episode was nowhere near as bad as it was hyped up to be, but I think this was really the episode where I realized there were too many POV characters.
Season 1 was tight. Season 2 had a bigger cast, but everything important usually involved the season 1 cast.
This episode, I kept wondering where all the characters I was interested in had gone off to. All the characters that I was interested in outside of that have basically had zero development on-screen. It's a bit much.

Timeskips are bad in shonen (every) and they are bad here too.

I think that she's lying about Halo dying to destabilize her. Halo already told her that her host body took a bribe which caused the assassination of Brion's parents, so she knows that Halo's already emotionally vulnerable. I think she plans to use her new lab to reproduce Halo's power at higher strength in order to resurrect her daughter, or to have her daughter back in a way by having Halo use her daughter's body as her new host.
