What would Ditko think about Spider-Verse?
What would Ditko think about Spider-Verse?
He was a stuck-up asshole so he would probably hate it
>quirky political comics
What a belitting comment. Honestly he wouldn't have given a fuck.
If he was a stuck up asshole how come he still answered fan's mail.
>If he was a stuck up asshole how come he still answered fan's mail.
he was a stuck-up asshole about his vision and politics
He would probably not recognize that version of Peter as his. Peter was an anti-hippie angry guy by his pen.
He died?
If we keep in mind his objectivist principles, he'd probably see it as second-handers leeching off of his creation and condemn it outright. That wouldn't be an incorrect conclusion.
Last year
WHY IS THERE A BLACK CHILD AS SPIDER-MAN!?
I would think.
I doubt he would care about it one way or the other.
Kinda sad, he was such a recluse no one knew he died for days until one of his neighbors called the cops and they had to break in.
I doubt Ditko would care.
he uses original spider-man art to keep his window open.
>Ditko caring about any Spidey work after his own
A resounding "meh whatever" probably
Based way to go out, not even joking
dead white male
why care about his opinion?
>keep in mind his objectivist principles
>he'd see it as second-handers leeching off of his creation
this guy gets it.
I wonder if Ditko laughed at watching Marvel go from merchandising every conceivable interpretation of Spider-Man they could concoct to trying to make Squirrel Girl a household name.
He probably didn't care what Marvel was doing. He strikes me as a man who was happy just to make his own comics.
>anti-hippie
But that's a good thing.
>co-creation
>co-creation
>he doesn't know
Wish we had his opinions on the Raimi films, Ultimate Spider-Man, MCU, Doctor Strange etc
It's so far removed from the stuff he wrote he probably wouldn't care.
>Spider robots? What the fuck?
>Why is Peter a fat loser just to try and make the new nigger look good in comparison?
How is having your body rot away alone and forgotten for days a "based" way to go out?
>He probably didn't care what Marvel was doing. He strikes me as a man who was happy just to make his own comics.
I could believe that.
incidentally--
>Murray finished the filler script "The Coming of… Squirrel Girl," but no emergency arose, so the story was subsequently dumped into Marvel Super-Heroes. Originally, Murray was teamed up with an artist named Tom Morgan and he wrote the script with Morgan in mind.
>"When Morgan bowed out, I requested Steve Ditko. I was delighted when he accepted. Steve worked from a full script, yet somehow got a plotting credit by accident," he said. "He designed the costume and came up with the knuckle spike and overall look. I remember suggesting a costume like that of Peter Pan –- which was a clue to Doreen's inner nature. Ditko went to his own way on that. I might add that he was no fan of the character."
Because that's what he wanted, he could've been an icon on the level of Stan Lee and his death could've been a public event, but he chose to live how he wants and isolated himself, I wish I had the opportunity for fame, and the balls to reject it like that
But..... Peter has always been a loser,
I don’t think he would’ve ever considered his peter to be a loser and I know he wouldn’t have approved of him opening a restaurant like that
He was a loser in high school until he got his powers. Then he went to college and dated supermodels on the regular. Being poor doesn't mean you're a loser. His job as Spider-Man got in the way of his personal success. That's what the character is all about.
Peter went from being a loser to gradually becoming a GREAT person.
He looks like Neil Cicierega.
Oh, come on! The restaurant wasn't so bad
That was on the Romita/Lee run. Ditko Peter was a reclusive weirdo that hate hippies and young people in general. On the first issue of Romita/Lee run, Peter put his shit together
Peter was already getting his shit together despite Ditko's best efforts in the last half.
He died the same year Stan did. Normies didn’t even shed a tear for him.
Libertarians don't like mercy, user.
