Give me one (1) GOOD reason why Steven should be with Connie instead of a gem
Give me one (1) GOOD reason why Steven should be with Connie instead of a gem
Because it'll make you seethe
Oyakodon
Aren't all the other gems like 9000 years old?
Her surname means Lord of the Universe and their faces fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. That's two, but I'm extra so.
Steven can't continue the endless cycle of samsara with a gem, that would be going backwards from his mom's plan. He needs a biological carry on his seed.
>Rose dies giving birth to Steven (by becoming him) her soul is destroyed but her gem and its power remains in his form, a new Gem soul lives on in Steven
>Steven nuts inside Connie, their child will carry Steven's reincarnated soul and inherit his gem powers
>Steven/Connie child will either give birth or impregnate another, their child will impregnate or carry Steven's great-grandchild, and so on
>eventually all human life will carry the essence of Pink Diamond in one form or another
>free from the constraints of biological decay, humankind ascends into a higher form of consciousness through mass fusion, becoming the perfect being
>an endless, undying, gestalt mind but not constrained by Gemkind's flaw of predestination
This was the plan all along. Rose was playing the long con in order to trigger the Third Impact.
She's got two perfectly good ones.
> this is how diamonds grow in size
> they absorb and fuse carbon life into themselves
it's been so long since the last time it happened the diamonds simply forgot how they themselves function
> Their faces fit together like a jigsaw puzzle
I can't unsee it in my head, and I hate it.
Rose was at least as old as they were and she got with Greg.
Greg x connie
Team humans all the way
Yeah but Greg was like 21 or so at that point.
The story said so,it's very clear that Connie is Steven love interest
Yes but mentally Garnet and Pearl act like if they were in their mid twenties while Amethyst and Peridot act like they are 19 years old
Human, more or less. 'Stick with your own species, mutt' is the moral..
That thread ages ago was right. Adding eyelashes to the gems just makes them 100% better. Hot damn.
The dubs of truth. If anyone has some of those edits saved, now's the time to post them. You do it for her
I'll take neither. Each new character or fusion introduced is meant to showcase a different kind of relationship. Garnet already represents mutual love, Smokey Quartz had a "big sister" thesis, Peridot/Lapis are asexual partners, and Stevonnie is meant to be a purely supportive friendship. If they got together it would spoil the whole point.
>Stevonnie
>Supportive friendship
>"When Connie grows up and becomes President, what's that gonna make me? First BOY?!"
Are you saying they're already dating? That's objectively wrong.
Nobody said they were dating user. The point is that Steven nonchalantly implies they he expects to be married to Connie when he grows up.
Connie only uses him to life out her MC fantasies.
Steven belongs to Peridot.
(Also let her build new limb enhancers she uses from time to time on missions. Metel powers out of nowhere were retarded)
Peridots are magnetic IRL you fake gem boi.
Ah yes, and garnet is electirc and amythysts can change form really easily. Not to forget that bismuth is a gem.
In universe gems are made for a purpose, they can't just have powers they never knew of.
Made for a purpose yes, but kept heavily under thumb. Remove that thumb and like humans gems find they have much more potential than the Diamonds are comfortable.
*comfortable with
oh boi, am I the only one who saved all the threads... does no one else use ychan to back shit up?
I'm going to bed soon, if no one else gets around to it by this evening when I wake up, I might start a thread.
What's the best way to dump images, I'm not gonna sit and wait 60 seconds between each post.
>Not full-size
But yeah, correct answer.
You know what's sad? This is genuinely a great idea for a spin off story set in the future, but this is Steven Universe.
They'll never do something like that. For it to work it has to be some dystopian future where instrumentality looks promising and surrendering your individuality becomes the philosophical question. They COULD do it, but they won't. Just like all the things this show COULD have done, but didn't.
Because it wouldn't be Steven Universe then. The concept of "do my thing or you're doing it wrong" is lame.
children
Because a gem pussy would cut his dick off
There's a thought. Would any of Steven and Connie's children have gem powers? Steven healed Connie's eyes with his spit so there are certain traits that can be transferred through DNA.
Wasted potential is also lame.
so she can murder-pussy Rose/Steven.
Not that STALKER, but I disagree with your specifics (although I agree with your overall sentiment). SU demonstrated early on it was capable of pulling the rug out from under you (gender-swapped mahou shojou is actually NGE-lite what a tweest!) and it wasn't afraid to get dark (Garnet finds the Homeworld Unit 731 labs, Connie, Steven and mommy Dr. Mahesewaren are trapped in Racoon City Hospital, Lapis and Jasper's entire fucked up fusion relationship) but after Log Date and the unsatisfying conclusion of the Cluster arc it just kind of petered out. It would flirt with these ideas and never fully deliver. The closest it came post season 03 to reaching the highs of the first two seasons was Bismuth, the darkest episode of the later seasons. It's that frustration that turned a lot of people against SU. Speaking for myself, I still love the show despite its glaring faults, and I didn't expect Sucrose to recreate Perfect Blue or something, but the experience overall was one of disappointment at consecutive missed opportunities, not disappointment because she didn't make my autistic fanfiction canon.
>katana blade on a fencing cup hilt
lmao what a weeb.
That's fair and well-reasoned. Personally the only wasted potential for me is that they weren't allowed 22 minute episodes to flesh things out more. Even the crew says 15 is the real sweet spot.
Woah mama...
