Again?

can it be discussed without the thread derailing into shitposting about modern politics?

Doubtful. I mean isn't that the whole reason they're bringing this story back now?

We wait until it comes out for storytimes
Hopefully by then the politics bullshit can be drowned out by how cute Roberta is

And there we go pals, only took 3 posts

You know that it can't.

Yang probably asked for it and they let him do it because he's a legitimately good writer and isn't going to be a fucking retard.

>implying

My only gripe about it is the art style. I love Gurihiro. I can't stress that enough. I just don't think the art fits the story. I'd have preferred a Curt Swan or a Fleischer style to it.

Implying what? Go read boxers and saints you fucking casual.

Maybe they wanted to branch out into non-cutesey stuff? It is an odd choice.

pedo

Oh, is this a retelling of the old radio drama in comic form or is this something else?
I really only care if its a retelling of the old radio drama, I always wanted that in a comic form or something similar.

i've enjoyed watching the fights, but honestly how many threads are we going to attempt?

until its release, i highly doubt it. then again the entire reason its being printed is modern politics so who fucking knows.

dup btfo

it does seem rather cute for the supposed subject matter.

The art style looks like its meant to be shown to kids as a way to tell that the klan is bad from a young age. kinda weird for this story but i guess the radio show was meant for kids

>but i guess the radio show was meant for kids
actually, the radio drama (like pretty much all radio dramas) were meant for all ages. But back then the lines between "adult" and "child" content didn't really exist.

I'm pretty sure kids these days don't give a shit about the Klan.

>meant to be shown to kids as a way to tell that the klan is bad from a young age
What's the problem?

UNTIL WE HAVE THE ACTUAL PAGES THERE IS NOTHING TO DISCUSS
IT WILL EXIST, AND THAT TRIGGERS /pol/ACKS
THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO SAY

Who knows, how many threads have been made today.

I bet a lot of parents would feel unconformable with showing their kids something with the kkk even if is against them.

Fixed.

>Superman protect Chinese loli from the Japanese

What's Anne Frank doing there

Not "Slaps the Japs"

I'm gonna ask again, even though I'm sure I'll be drowned out: why a little girl when the original was Jimmy and some teen boy?

This, it's clear and cartoony to let parents know that this isn't edgy bullshit, it's an educational comic.

That girl is white.
Smashing hurts more then slapping.

It like that fan fiction where Goku saves and marries Anne Frank.

Of course not, that’s why it keeps getting deleted. It will be impossible to have this this comic discussed here because of the /pol/ infestation . Wait till it’s released and brace for the story time

>That girl is white.
They confirm that she is a new OC for this adaptation, she is the sister of the half Chinese boy in the radio show.

Still half right.

bingo you can't divorce politics from an explicitly political statement

How do the Confederates play into it?

They do in the US. I was substituting for a middle school Spanish class and showing a video that talked about Spain and Spanish culture and then it switched to some Spaniards in an Easter ceremony where they were wearing capirotes and robes. All the kids immediately started gasping and laughing and just having WTF reactions and shouting KKK, I had to tell them it wasn't the KKK and the video then went to explain why they dressed like that.

But it was a big deal and weird for them to see people in the modern day wearing outfits like that with no context. Also a kid sees a Superman book and will read it for Superman if they like Superman. Him fighting whoever he's fighting is secondary. In the Fleischer cartoons he mostly fought randos anyway.

The writer already denounced this comic, lmao the excuse was "It was a different time".
