How did it end? I can’t remember
With a cliffhanger for the next mini in a year
Ya it is great. I'm waiting for the next one to be finished before i read it
Yea Forums doesn't read comics and this comic is shit, read manga instead
Manga is for nerds
Both Dragonfly and Dragonflyman make the best of their situation being on each others Earth, while a third Earth is introduced that has a new doppleganger of their archenemy Number One who has saved his world's water supply by swapping their toxic supply with both Earth Alpha and Omega's clean supply with the same mirror abilities that caused the initial swap in issue one.
Ahoy's release schedule is weird. They rotate their books in seasons and I haven't heard anything about a new Wrong Earth book (though there was the FCBD mini). But it is its most well known title so I can't imagine they won't do a new one.
It was gold. Fuck Marvel and DC.
What the fuck is this?
This looks like something from one of those shitty wannabe Marvel or DC companies that popped up in the 80's and 90's.
Think of it like Adam West Batman and Frank Miller Batman swapped places
Oh that sounds fun I guess.
My first thought was something like Injustice but for hipsters.
It is hardly a new idea but it is excecuted very well. Like when silver age hero was shot and gets up saying he knew they would shoot him so ate a bullet dissolving pill
That and the explosion repellent were great. Honestly, the best humor involves Dragonflyman's old-school way of doing things in the grimy version of his city. Like him going undercover as a 'bad guy' wearing the tropey cat burglar outfit.
Dragonfly in the softer, Adam West world is just sad.
This and Second coming are great. Any other good AHOY comics? Was thinking of trying that Edgar Allen Poe anthology

The other (non-Planet of the Nerds) current on-going looks decent, it just started so you can jump on fairly easily.
so the light hearted dragonfly and the edgy murderous dragonfly are at some point going to meet a good guy number one and a actual bad guy dragonfly cool....
nah it's a lotta fun. it respects both kind of interpreations. both the camp and the grim dark are competent characters
I storytimed some of this a while back. loved it i'll do the first two issues.
The Poe series is awesome. Bronze Age Boogie is ok, but the main story is outshone by it's backup about a talking grizzly trying to be an astronaut.
I like Planet of the Nerds, but its art could be a lot better. The faces are all fucked up.
Too soon to tell if One-Prime is a good guy or not, but I do think Dragonfly and Dragonflyman are going to team up at some point. I just want more of Deuce.
I was impressed how the pure Dragonfly was able to say an honest hero even in the darkest of times.
Fuckin A man.
As funny as everything having a damn label on it, I'm just noticing the third Dragonfly at the top. Maybe that's the one from Earth-Zeta?
ohhhh shitttt. you might actually be onto something there. thats clearly not a mistake.
yeah all of the reflecting details are slightly different, definite relation to the main mirror and it's alternate universe thing
I also like that they use the black and white spaces to differentiate between the two Earths. It's always the little things.
it's a great and easy shorthand. really creative.
Yeah, Poe is also excellent - I forgot that it's still ongoing; that's not the one I was thinking of.
Planet of the Nerds just strike me as a bad idea that in the preview pages didn't look executed well. I might check out a story time but I wouldn't even waste the bandwidth to pirate it or do a Read Comics tryout.
Scratch what I said here, there will be a new book, but it's a standalone prequel set for November. Sucks, but EAP's Snifter of Terror is coming back so that's good.
yeah I'd be stunned if they didn't keep with it. its a rare series that has only gained orders the longer it went on. especially for a small outfit like ahoy
yayyyy!!!!
gotta love dragonflyman
>Perfidy
I love this man
Yeah, I remember hearing about this book when it premiered, though I had no clue what the hell Ahoy was. Then they picked up Second Coming and by then they had a decent number of minis finished or just starting. I like what I've seen from them, but this is probably their best work and it's good to see it's doing well for them.
As a Russellfag, I do need to read Second Coming.
You should, God is wonderful in that.
I love this guy
by the end you really love em both. it's just a really solidly executed series
I might check it out, thanks user!
I do like the slight implication that they have some slight alternate universe experience, since they both are aware of it and are taking steps to adjust almost immediately. It's a neat touch.
again, it only gets better as it goes on. i wish i had more than the first two issues to story time, but i don'r
I just need them teaming up. I can’t die without seeing that.
Didn't take him too long to figure out how things work. Good.
But I read both.
These pages are confused
What the quality like on Ahoy's TPBs?
Thanks OP, I like what I'm seeing.
And read the whole thing. Really excited for the sequel.
Yeah, he's great.
