Cell Games Gohan looked like a Teen. Buu Saga Gohan could easily pass for Goku's brother than son.

Let’s do some easy math here. Gohan is 4 at the start of DBZ. He trains with Piccolo for a year, then fights against Vegeta and Nappa at age 5. Even being generous and saying the Namek Saga took three years, that would make him 9 when Future Trunks shows up the first time a year after Namek ends. A year later at age 10, Androids and Cell show up and he trains for a year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, making him 11 at the Cell Games.

Gohan in the Buu Saga is strong enough to have fought Broly by himself, and capable of beating Super Buu once his power got unlocked by the Supreme Kai. He doesn't really suffer from the stamina drain that plagues Goku and Vegeta when they tap more into their Super Saiyan forms.

Why are people mad that Doomsday killed Broly? Doomsday was pretty much DC's equivalent to a Saiyan: He gets stronger and smarter with near death experience.

Doomsday is pretty inconsistent as a character just like a lot of DC characters are. While Broly's attack potency is a trillion leagues above his. Broly destroys planets with a single tiny generic ki blast with one hand. You never see Doomsday doing something on that level even when he goes all out.
