I hate when a character is supposed to be blind but they act no different form any other character. Blind people do strange things all the time because of their disability, and carry around a bunch of extra crap everywhere they go, and usually have a dog or helper around all the time. I know, I played DnD with a blind guy for a while, it was different but fun.

As a person who happened to be blind, you really can't beat Denise Russo of "Foxtrot." She was written well and somewhat believably, as much as writing a blind, cute, slightly snarky teenage can be portrayed.

I agree. She wasn't amazing, but somehow she felt like one of the only disabled characters I've seen in comics that didn't feel like the author was reaching for diversity points. Not quite sure how.

Probably partially due to how they only mention her blindness explicity in about 5% of the strips she's in.
