I don't care if Butch is a tumblr soiboy cuck or a deus vult christian psychopath, I only care about cartoons and will judge this as such.

I will say, moreso than anything, this cartoon feels like the return of 00's style shows. In almost every aspect, the art style, the cheap puppet animation, the humor. It's 100% not "Calarts", does that mean it's good? Well? No, not really. Production wise, it's fairly piss poor. I don't mind the art style necessarily, but the animation itself leaves a lot to be desired. The backgrounds are amazingly bad and worse than i've ever seen on any other Butch show.

The humor is extremely dated, hearkening back to genuine boomer material like bear bones 4th wall jokes, cereal ads, and 80's marketing conventions with the toyetic naming and catch phrased spamming, and the non-threat of the evil team.

All in all it's a (mostly) harmless kids cartoon that feels like it came straight out of 2006 only to be dumped on Nick Jr. and cancelled after two seasons.
