Invaders Preview

Why is marvel this lame and predictable?
All I wanted was for one comic where they’re all friends.

Why is Tony so adamant about attacking Namor? Didn't Namor humiliate them when the Avengers tried to confront him last time? Or does this take place before that?

Marvel writers only know how to create hero vs hero conflict even if it makes the characters OOC. It's clear that Zdarsky just does not like Tony at all. Marvel wonders why comics are losing sales when they do stuff like this to their characters.

I don't mind because 1) I don't like Tony either and 2) Invaders is actually pretty good, one of these books nobody reads because they're busy discussing awful series like Aaron's Avengers and the current GOTG by Cates, among others.
>Marvel wonders why comics are losing sales when they do stuff like this to their characters.
Silly. There's a context and an escalation to this moment, it's not like he decided to snap right there just for the sake of it. Also it's an Invaders book, not an Avengers book, so it's expected they get the most focus and characterization against a world that already moved in without them.
Oh and I came here to read the full preview but I guess op won't post the rest? Now THAT'S lame and predictable.

>Didn't Namor humiliate them when the Avengers
Why did you answer the question in your post and ask it anyways?

>butthurt +infinite

Talking about predictable, have Namor or Doom in the title and the retard comes.

Except that’s not what cap did. He was full on willing to take Namor down last issue, and even in the OP post he wants Namor charged for his crimes

How is tony ooc lmao. Given the circumstances him not flipping out is ooc

Doom should appear in this story and fix things

They are friends in the avengers currently

Go read that instead if you want your Stony shipping that badly

Now that would be the ultimate Marvel story.

Namor fucks up innocents but is still considered a hero, Captain America defends Namor's right to kill whoever he wants, Doctor Doom builds a machine that makes him all-powerful, Sue Storm makes out with Namor behind Reed's back, Doctor Doom is presented as a merely misunderstood hero, Captain America and Iron Man fight.

It should be called "Marvel: Apex".

Stop ban evading tommy

The OOC part of my post was meant in general. Characters suddenly turning retarded and what not for the sake of plot.

>Why did you answer the question in your post and ask it anyways?

Because I also made it a point that Namor kicked their ass up and down the street even when they had powerhouses, and now Tony wants seconds?

Yes. Of course he does, and this time it's a bunch of nukes aimed at atlantis instead of a slugfest

Okay except you're bringing that up for no reason in here as if it applied to this case. Why are you moving tht goalposts after getting called out for it? Just admit you weren't reading this series.

mods actually banned him in the past?

>Tony should not be mad at letting Caps friend getting away with murder
Aarons Avngers is that way

That’s stupid. Sue should make out with Hulk

>waaah waaah how dare two people have conflict when it’s both in character and justified in context?? I want my comfy SOL and nothing else!!

Tonys completely in the right to be angry. He's been warning Steve since the first or second issue to stop with the kids gloves when handling Namor.

OP clearly wasn't reading Invaders before this preview and wanted to go on a rant about "OOC Tony" even though it was Cap who wanted to convince Namor by himself to lay down his offensive until it was too late and the warheads were already deployed.
Which he didn't even launch anyway, but was part of the effort regardless.

OP said nothing about it being OOC, though. I can understand their complaint of just wanting them to be friends because when it comes to the 2 of them just about every other story is some internal hero conflict since Civil War.

Oh so when Tony wants to kill Namor it's justifiable

But when the Squadron Supreme actually does it they become enemies of the state

Then he should go read avengers

Probably because Namor put a whole town under water, modified all the inhabitants so they could never live on the surface again and has a huge amount of stockpiled missiles that he’s happy to fire, and this all happened whilst Tony was telling Cap they had to go curb stomp Namor but Cap insisted he could just talk him down. He’s just mad, I guess. Plus his whole entire role in this series has been ‘nagging wife’.

Kinda weird because he had settled down in the meantime last issue and didn’t seem that crazy mad at all, but it’s easy to see where he’s coming from when Cap was rude/dismissive of his wanting to act in the previous issues.

>Cap please don’t act on your own we’re on a team
>bye Tony
>Cap we need to stop Namor right now
>no Tony I can handle it with Bucky
>Cap Atlantis has missiles we need to do something
>Stop trying to start WORLD WAR 3 Tony
>Cap Jesus Christ I fucking told you
>not now Tony
>I told you about the stairs, bro
>It just keeps happening

I’d be pretty upset, too.

>why does marble keep giving the comic buying public what they'll actually buy? WHY??
It's a mystery, user.

I enjoyed the first issue of Invaders but fell out since it felt awfully slow, hows it going now?

It's actually pretty good and not at all decompressed, to the point of should have been the main Captain America series instead of Coates.

Where was this Tony when he and Namor were buttbuddies in the Illuminati?
