Joker: Killer Smile

Joker: Killer Smile

The latest-announced Joker project, the three-issue ‘album format’ Killer Smile also explores Joker’s relationship with a mental health professional – but in this case, it’s not Harley Quinn. It’s a new character created by series writer Jeff Lemire and artist Andrea Sorrentino.

This is another tale that’ll be on shelves starting around the time of Joker’s October 4 release. Also released through DC Black Label, Joker: Killer Smile is scheduled to debut October 30.

Batman: Curse of the White Knight

Batman: Curse of the White Knight, Sean Gordon Murphy’s sequel to White Knight, puts Joker back in his guise as the Clown Prince of Crime in Murphy’s world where the line between Batman and his arch-enemy isn’t, well, black and white.
In this sequel, Joker enlists Azrael, who, in the core DC Universe, once replaced Bruce Wayne as Batman.

Joker/Harley Quinn: Criminal Insanity

Joker/Harley Quinn: Criminal Insanity is a new look not at the Joker’s origin, but another look at the tale of Harley Quinn. Written by Kami Garcia with art from Mike Mayhew and Mico Suayan, Criminal Insanity recasts Harley as a profiler working on a more grounded version of the Joker.

Harleen

Another DC Black Label series focused on the Joker and Harley Quinn, Stjepan Seijic’s Harleen will retell Harley Quinn’s origin as a psychologist treating Joker in Arkham Asylum.

In this case, the tale is told with a focus directly on Harleen Quinzel – and her schism from Joker.

Three Jokers

Three Jokers is the perpetually awaited “ultimate Batman and Joker story” from writer Geoff Johns and artist Jason Fabok promises to tell the ‘true story’ of Joker’s identity as three different people – a secret Batman uncovered way back in 2016’s "Darkseid War" using the power of the New God Metron.

The Joker: Year of the Villain

And just announced, a 40-page mainstream DC Universe one-shot titled Joker: Year of the Villain #1, written by John Carpenter and Anthony Burch with art from Philip Tan and Marc Deering.

Yep, you read that right - John Carpenter. As in director of Halloween, The Thing, They Live!, and more.

This one won’t come out in ten years so that one doesn’t really count.

Maybe they are trying to ride off the hype of the JOKER movie?

I just don't understand, Lemire is a great writer and Sorrentino is a great artist but they just keep making shit when they get together.Hopefuly they this is a change of pace.

MOAR Joaker/Harley/Batfag edgy shit.
DC really is about to close up shop, aren't they?
Literally, not a creative thought left in their collective brains.
>make the Joaker EDGIER

>comic artists talking mental health
>out of continuity batman
>Joker’s origin
>retell Harley Quinn’s origin
>Three Jokers abandoned storyline from 2016’s
>Anthony Burch

DC 2019

Imagine getting the chance to do something at DC with less restrictions than usual and all you can pitch is a glorified Joker fanfic

I cannot wait for the day people stop lapping this shit up, but that would require the average comics reader to actually gain taste

The former success of the Bat and Joaker are, literally, going to be the un-doing of DC.
It's so easy to see.

DC is desperate for sales and is trying to throw Batman and Joker at everything and everyone.

>Bendis goes to and is given control at DC, takes some friends with him
>DC sales plummet
>DC is forced to Batman and Joker everything up

Just fire Bendis already, DC. I know you paid a bunch for him but is the destruction of your company worth it?

DC is, literally, like the accomplished highschool athlete of yesteryear, with two blown-out knees that keeps elaborating and exaggerating stories of past heroic feats.

'Don't Yank it til you Thank it.'
Bump for DC in its death throes.

DC takes a Shit, Bump

Gideon Falls is p. good

DUDE JOKER LMAO

I relate to Joker so much. I'm just like him IRL.

I like the art in this one

This is terrible. The Joker is getting 2 stories, DC clearly isn't creative enough.

They should learn with Marvel and just make Joker omnipotent literally every single year. Now THAT is creative.

>recasts Harley as a profiler working on a more grounded version of the Joker.
The fuck does DC not give a shit about the most basic details of the origins and relationships of their characters? They just let any asshole walk in with their own bullshjt? Theze two big cocurrent books are at odds tok.
