Before Rudd the most impressive thing about Lang was that he died and his daughter became a much more impressive character than he ever was or would be. Lang is the only antman that is not only a bad character but a boring one. Milquetoast and worthless.

Scott Lang is far from being a bad character if anything, he is the luckiest Ant-Man, because he has evaded multiple attempts to kill his character for good, only to return better than ever.
