whatculture.com/comics/doomsday-clock-delayed-again >Despite an initial release said to be in May 22nd, Doomsday Clock #11 continues to be pushed back, with this most recent delay placing the supposed release at August 28th, a further two weeks from its previous predicted release date. This marks the fourth occasion where this particular issue has been delayed, following a worrying trend of all Doomsday Clock issues being continually, and substantially, pushed back.
>With Doomsday Clock #10 finishing on the tantalising note of Doctor Manhattan questioning his morality and impact within the DC Universe, this lengthy pause could not come at a worse time.
>As per Bleeding Cool, Doomsday Clock isn't the only DC comic facing delays. Shazam's next issue has also been delayed by an almost stunning nine weeks, now occupying an August 14 release date.
>All this being said, it has to be remembered that these delays are a sign that the production team are taking care to create the story as they envisioned it. Geoff Johns is evidently keen to see Gary Frank pencil the series from start to finish, and given so many other comics fail to maintain consistency over their publishing run, it's refreshing to see Doomsday Clock stick to its guns and feature the same creative team from beginning to end.
Doesn’t Matter. Scott Snyder said it was no longer canon. >**Nrama**: So does this tie in to Doomsday Clock at all? Because we’ve seen the seeds of the Justice Society returning in Doomsday Clock.
>**Snyder**: Not really. I mean, Doomsday Clock really is its own wonderful, incredible story. The kind of light connection between them is just that, what Geoff and I talked about was because Doomsday Clock is kind of running at its own pace and in its own kind of continuity, what I didn’t want to do was bring the JSA back before he had a chance to reintroduce them as a concept in issue #10.
>I think that’s similar with other characters that he’s going to be using in Doomsday Clock as well.
>So there’s a nod to each other in that regard. I wanted him to be able to have the JSA as an idea, and have that first appearance in Doomsday Clock.
>But in terms of the continuities linking up, Doomsday Clock is a very special and inspirational book. We’re all amazed, I think, at how good it is. **But its effects are relatively self-contained to itself.**
Doomsday Clock is not canon. DC is ignoring Doomsday Clock and Johns. Rebirth was a lie.
Ian Hughes
Figures.
Nolan King
Doomsday Clock was never canon. It's always been it's weird continuity.
Gabriel Collins
For fuck's sake.
Noah Fisher
why even do the series in the first place if its 6 months between issues? what the fuck takes a comic 3 4 5 6 months to do. its just one little book. 15 or 20 pages. god damn. the Japanese mangakas work for rice and keep up with shonoen jump.
Evan Fisher
but when will we learn the mystery of the three jokers
Easton Murphy
It's because they're making art, not manga, you fool.
Kayden Williams
Hey ladderbro. Nobody smart ever thought doomsday clock would be a big continuity changer. It has to be evergreen
Robert Martin
>god damn. the Japanese mangakas work for rice and keep up with shonoen jump. I'm not defending the delays but most of shonen jump looks like fucking ass after awhile since they get burned out. Also you can't pretend manga doesn't have massive delays when HxH and Berserk exist
Camden Howard
Never. Johns simply took Fabok as an indentured servant and makes him redo scripts over and over for all time like a pudgy Sisyphus.
Kevin Reed
Johns is a moron that didn't start scripting for over one year after it was announced, he works with a slow artists that needed that extra time, of course, johns being the moron he is only had 2 issues scripted when 1 hit the shelves, something that doesn't work in this kind of comics, Johns isn't a smart guy, and neither is frank, so they really struggle with the ideas of visualization behind this garbage. There's some small changes (like Johns literally putting the "shazam" family in the book the same month the movie came out) or the wally shit, but those were product of Johns delays and not the reasons behind the delays. Geoff Johns is like a retard that bite more than what he can chew, this isn't a Yea Forums meme, he is a real life moron.
>Superman is hitting Doc so hard his comic is being shunted further into the future in real life
Damn
Angel Nelson
Alan Moore is using his psychic mind powers to push this back for as long as possible.
Hudson Wilson
More like chinese democracy, the people involved is way past their prime, there's no hype for it, and the whole thing is a cashgrab that only exist due the greed of a company and the ego of the main "creative".
Nolan Gutierrez
>From may to october What the hell is happening with DClock?
Xavier Moore
>What the hell is happening with DClock? See >Shazam's next issue has also been delayed by an almost stunning nine weeks Gee, i wonder who is to blame
James Fisher
>the Japanese mangakas work for rice and keep up with shonoen jump.
At least the author of HxH has health problems that keep him from working, what the actual fuck is Miura's excuse?
Wyatt Lewis
It's only two more fucking issues. What gives?
Jaxon Nelson
Idolmaster won't play itself bro
Liam Clark
Don't compare the two. At least Johns isn't passing off his laziness as a magical boat trip.
Dylan Williams
I've been waiting a long fucking time to see Superman punch Doctor Manhattan. They tease that scene in almost every issue. I'm not asking for a lot here to want to see it.
Zachary Flores
failed to admit or avoid the inevitable fujo ending
