Ask that to the people who keep rebooting classics like TMNT or Scooby-Doo and manage to find a fanbase for each new iteration (most of the time). It's worth doing. There's nothing wrong with recreating a beloved franchise for the newest generation of kids. You can find thousands upon thousands of comments expressing their love for NuBen10 if you simply check popular kid spaces, like YT. Yea Forums and random forum dissenters are the older crowd who hates change and can't adapt.

that's probably the thing I like the most about the Reboot, that more of Ben's enemies are in his age group, the fact that most of his human enemies in the original series were guys in their 30's to 60's who explicitly wanted to murder a 10 year old boy(since most of them knew Ben's identity cause he was pretty shit at hiding it during the OS) was always kinda awkward

There was still mutants and magic in UAF. I liked the Rooters arc making the plumber kids into lab experiments, but retconning Osmosians themselves was more trouble than it was worth.

Allegedly there's a Kevin spin-off coming, and some poor bastards are hoping it has to do with the original Kevin. Reboot Kevin will probably tie into Albedo eventually.

A lot of the time Ben 10's style ends up coming out slightly after a trend begins and it's almost always better looking than the equivalent. Even in this case, it looks better than most noodle arm shows and has some fluid animation compared to something like Adventure Time or OK KO. It also has shading, which is absent from basically every other modern show.

Making Charmcaster slightly older was perfect because it would put her a magical step above Gwen throughout the different series. The new Charmcaster is worse all around but that aspect and the Hex/Max mentor parallel dynamic getting removed are especially stupid.

AF is what made a big deal about covering over some aspects of magic and mutants, mostly magic since there were still some mutants. Early AF Season 3 is pretty bad but also solidifies magic as something that still exists.
