You should read some of the reviews online because most people are saying the same thing how Season 1 was very clunky and very paint by numbers, and that Season 2 is better. Catra and Adora get better interactions, continuing from late in Season 1 which were some of the better episodes especially the one about their past, and Scorpia is just the best. Check out the DnD episode from season 2 if you are interested in trying out the show again. But hey, if not, no worries, it's a TV show designed for 8-12 year old girls and their parents.

when i watched the netflix series i also watched the original series for comparison and i liked the netflix series better but that's honestly not a very high bar to pass.

the whole opening arc of the original had alot of promise but pretty much right after it the show pretty much becomes "he-man but as a girl" in literally every sense of the word. it almost feels like the writers had a ton of rejected episode ideas for he-man and just dumped them into she-ra.
