Shouldn't matter. I've heard both Frank Welker and Billy West say that the standard VA contract covers up to three voices - additional voices (or singing) cost extra.

The more likely culprit is the fact that Lisa despite being almost as 'flanderised' as the rest of her family still has a broader personality than most Springfielders and as such lends herself to a wider assortment of stories.

Normally you would be right. During Seasons 1-9 of the Simpsons, the cast were paid in accordance to how many voices they did. This of course meant Dan Castallaneta and Hank Azaria made tons of money while Yeardley Smith and Julie Kavner didn't.

The 2006 contract renegotiations were where Fox didn't realize until it was too late that they'd have to pay Yeardley $275,000 per episode to do one voice. Sounds unbelievable but Newscorp in the mid-2000s was an absolute shitshow and being terribly managed.

It's hard to say, but I think it's actually a bit shorter than that maybe even into miniskirt (or the school-age equivalent) territory, but certainly nothing like the fetish version of her outfit illustrated above.

For what it's worth, I've also always thought the zigzag cute was supposed to represent pleating, but that seems unpopular among the fandom for some reason.

All the other kids being the same shape is a result of A) Homer becoming the main character B) Sloppy worldbuilding.

When the series started in the Tracy Ullman shorts Bart was unambiguously the main character, and he was also unambiguously fat. More gluttonous than his father even.

When the main cartoon started, the focus shifted to Homer, and the designs of Bart's classmates were pretty lazily done on Bart and Lisa's model. Which suddenly transformed Bart into a 'normal' sized kid instead of overweight.

Also, despite only meant to be merely overweight, as a 6 foot tall 235 pound make, Flanderization caused Homer to be treated as the fattest most gluttonous asshole in Springfield - even though it resembles nothing of his original characterization or design. Naturally, this meant if the writers were going to make a fat joke or a food joke they'd now use Homer instead of Bart. Minimizing this character trait in him.
