they'll look foolish when the next democratic president does a 180 and builds the wall
Justin Brown
They're just sprinting to get to the final stretch of bankruptcy
Xavier Miller
Even the coasts? And what of Hawaii, Alaska and U.S. Territories?
Jaxson James
Why does the wall look high tech and shit. American doesn't have the money for that, the real wall would just be made a concert
Angel Collins
lmao at hamfisted political validation. Who gives a shit. DC is really trying to dig their own grave with an excavator
Parker Evans
Is it THE wall or is it A wall?
Gabriel Hughes
>shingeki no BurgerLand sounds fun
Sebastian Roberts
>POLITICS BAD
Aaron Parker
I'll go ahead and give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're trying to troll instead of clinically retarded.
Ryan Wright
It will depict the US as a dystopian hellhole and yet a place where the entire population of South and Central America desperately want to move to.
As you do.
Jonathan Kelly
The people who are anti-wall are incapable of conceiving of a reasonable partition between the US and Mexico. To them, the entire project is excessive and harmful in the first place, so they imagine the wall will be some absurd distopian construction project instead of "actually just a large fence and not that different from what goes on every else in place and time."
Connor Wood
>Trump is Hitler and America is literally Nazis >But still want migrate there It's either one or the other, Leftists.
Robert Nguyen
>all these butthurt amerimutts
Joseph Foster
>>“Thirty years ago, the United States sealed itself off from the world without warning.
So they just built a wall stretching thousands of miles overnight, right? Like it didn't take years for something like that to actually be accomplished.
Caleb Gray
>POLITICS SO GOOD STORY TELLING Retard
Xavier Powell
And then there's Hawaii and Alaska. And Puerto Rico. And all our other territories.
Alexander Perry
Who's (((they)))
Easton Clark
>without warning.
Nothing happens "Without Warning" in a fucking modern governmental bureaucracy
Nicholas Rivera
Nah, I think he's retarded.
Grayson Butler
America is shit, but if you can help your entire family even on a shitty wage because of differences in currency/purchasing power then why wouldn't you?
Nathaniel Thompson
>The feel is like Land of the Lost... big over the top adventure. So it's an adventure/fantasy comic and conservatives are preemptively playing the victim because of course they are.
It appears to be a post-apocalyptic adventure comic and the authors are referencing movies with dinosaurs. Why the fuck are right-wingers so triggered?
Easton Ortiz
There is already a fence. It doesn’t get maintenance, because its expensive and doesn't really do anything. A concrete barrier would get even less since shit costs more to fix.
Brody Myers
People fled from Franco’s Spain to Germany until Berlin was under siege.
You escape active war zones.
Not to mention, people are increasingly using the US as a stepping stone to get into Canada already.
Charles Jones
>>“Thirty years ago, the United States sealed itself off from the world without warning. Already these "writers" are exaggerating the political situation and depicting it as if constructing a wall is a form of extreme isolationism and racism. The wall is no different from the one Israel has, the one China used to have, and the one Hungary is currently fortifying right now. None of the countries listed isolated themselves from trade, foreign relations, or even immigration. I swear modern comic writers are so blatant, incompetent, and one-sided they're incapable of seeing the other side or treat those who disagree with them with any sense of verisimilitude. Video games are better written than most mainstream comic titles.
When you have Democrats praising Bush over Trump when Bush was far more warmongering, anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, proposed the Patriot Act, and anti-progressive for every policy we have a name for, yet, Trump is the sexist, racist, war-loving homophobic woman-hater?
Because America is in the middle of a nervous breakdown, screaming at itself and only doing the most self-harmful and retarded of actions.
Like England, but more embarrassing.
Evan Evans
can't wait for corndog girl
Jonathan Phillips
What happened with that Calexit comic?
Ethan Foster
>A wall is meant to keep everyone out >When we have fucking airplanes A wall is not a fucking dome.
Joseph Butler
>You escape active war zones. But they aren't in active war zones.
Jason Moore
It was shit so no one read it
Sebastian Edwards
Not even for storytimes of pain?
David Diaz
No clue. There appears to be no connection to Trump's wall outside of OP's Comicsgate blog.
Liam Morris
As a Canadian, no, we don't want anymore migrants who can't even speak English or French to jump here either. We're full. We don't have the resources to house all these millions if refugees coming here by the boatload, let alone help them find employment or teach them the necessary skills and laws to live in any of the populated provinces or territories. My province has over twice the debt of California, and is now the world’s most indebted sub-sovereign borrower. We have no obligation to take of them. Especially because most of them aren't even running away from war zones.
Jace Phillips
>>“Thirty years ago, the United States sealed itself off from the world without warning. First off, there would be warning, such as a leaving NATO and the UN. Second, the isolationism was the US' policy up up until WW1 and was abandoned after WW2
Nathaniel Scott
Just send them to the wastelands in the north.
Which province?
Matthew Carter
Snyder is a brainlet who doesn't know anything beyond horror movies.
Dominic Stewart
But user, Modern government bureaucracy is a horror setting
Henry Roberts
>world’s most indebted sub-sovereign borrower How did Ontario get that bad?
Daniel Gonzalez
Is this the Jurassic World 2 sequel?
Daniel Ortiz
>Trump is the sexist, racist, war-loving homophobic woman-hater
Also a rapist, child-molester and good friend to the enemies of America.
Asher Robinson
This. Literally, what the fuck is wrong with nuliberals. >We want to stop illegal immigration SO YOU THINK ALL MIGRANTS ARE ILLEGAL?!? >No, we want to stop illegal immigration SO YOU WANT TO CUT THE US OFF FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD?? >No, we want to stop illegal immigration SO YOU'RE GLING TO HOLOCAUST ALL HISPANICS??!
Hudson Perry
Those democrat debates have been an utter cringe fest so far. Could you even imagine a Mexican politician running on the platform >If elected, I promise to provide free healthcare to every American unlawfully entering Mexico!
Leo Hernandez
>DC I mean, illiteracy is already rampant obvious in Yea Forums but this is a new low. They are no longer capable to read a simple headline.
Alexander Robinson
>, but if you can help your entire family even on a shitty wage you can't, they get on welfare and make America even shittier.
Liam Cooper
You really thought you sounded savvy here huh, you fucking rube
Evan Reyes
this isn't a Yea Forumsmrade thread, it's a /pol/ bait thread.
I mean are you really ignoring the current zeitgeist and political climate.
You don't make a comic about a wall post-2016 by accident or coincidence.
Nolan Clark
If a wall is so bad why aren't they writing about the Saudis killing anyone trying to cross the border illegally, or about Israel's walls?
Angel Perez
A fence is much easier and quicker to cut a hole in, beaner. The cost of raising these spics for generations far exceeds the cost to fix cracks in a wall.
If they were to try and destroy it any further it would be tantamount to an act of war.
Julian Baker
Personally I think this shit should really be considered sedition, but regardless, we should aim to be apolitical with comics, it's just too polarizing to get into this shit these days.
Adrian Brooks
>user falseflags mentioning DC >user then uses his own falseflag post to cast aspersion upon anyone which thinks this is dumb Every time.
Anthony Morris
I don't necessarily agree when it comes to creator owned shit like this. Capeshit should be mostly apolitical but not creator owned.
If he'd done this in Batman or JL I'd be REEing
Jose Morales
This. Have not Learned from Justice League
Grayson Perez
>American doesn't have the money for that, the real wall would just be made a concert
So, Kid Rock or Lynyrd Skynyrd playing live, 24/7?
Thomas Cooper
Oh God, more bullshit propaganda. Fucking Soros's mercenaries.
Connor Carter
>SO YOU THINK ALL MIGRANTS ARE ILLEGAL?!? See, the problem is that they're the ones deliberately obfuscating the issue. First we went by the actual legal term, "illegal aliens". Then, "illegal immigrants", to "undocumented immigrants". I've even seen some using "undocumented Americans". Finally, you have people who report on any border enforcement or ICE operations as being against "immigrants", leaving out the legal status entirely. It's extremely slimy.
>Personally I think this shit should really be considered sedition Mommy's lil fascist, cuuute!
Leo Martin
So you see "wall" and automatically get outraged? How is that a position worth defending?
Tyler Gomez
Walls work. Why else would libtard politicians have them around their own houses with armed guards?
Alexander Barnes
Wow this one really made me think
Connor Hill
Image. Image. No. This is literally the opposite of what you have to do to actually attract new readers. We can teach you. You can learn. You don't even have to listen to us. You can just watch. We've been making bank. The readers are happy. The product reaches them.
Stop hurting yourselves. Let comics be fun once more.
That's what #comicsgate has always been, and will always be about.
I see "wall around the United States" and immediately think of the current political climate. Outrage has nothing to do with it. Don't be disingenuous.
Isaiah Bailey
Holy shit I can only cringe so hard
Angel Rogers
Yes. They also work in the comic to keep out whatever post-apocalyptic shit exists beyond the walls. See pic related. Land of the Lost is a movie about fucking dinosaurs. Why are you swallowing the framing of the Comicsgate shit stirrers?
Because without basking in our shared victimhood cosplaying a genuinely outraged Patriot, I wouldn't know how to pass my days
Alexander Scott
Odd. When I see "walls" and "Land of the Lost" I immediately think of "Attack on Titan weaboo clone". But then again, I don't go around looking for excuses to be a victim.
Mason Powell
Who's being a victim in this scenario?
Nicholas King
The problem is legal immigration takes forever. I've known people who have had family members waiting to get here for 20 years when they did everything right. They should have been here a long time ago. The process needs to change
Austin Turner
Whoaa the ol' thinking man's switcheroo
Ayden Phillips
''You see illegals, I see doctors and engineers''
Wyatt Morris
user. user. I know how you feel. I'd been there myself before I had the wool pulled over from my eyes. Most of the comics industry is being held hostage by childless weirdos spinning left-leaning propaganda. They can only survive by destroying other people's reputations, which is how they've even lasted this long. It doesn't surprise me you guys already have such a negative perception of us. But it doesn't matter, to be honest. We still will be fighting for you. I see what you say in these threads. All the time. All the time. You're also sick of being preached at. That's where we come in. That's why we're here. That's why we're literally making comics great again. And that's why you're welcome. And why, any time you decide to cross over, take a peek what we're doing, we'll receive you with open arms.
Think about that a little, okay? All we're doing is having some fun. Not injecting credibly transparent attempts at metaphors for your hard earned sweat, money and tears. We're just trying to recover something magical this industry once was, one humble self published book at a time.
>van sciver >good Get some better taste user. Van sciver's work is clunky and ugly as fuck.
Colton Ross
autism. you don't build them on the coasts, that's what the coast guard is for. if america took an isolationist foreign policy position, it might relinquish it's overseas territories, possibly puerto rico, but almost certainly would retain alaska and hawaii for their strategic importance to that end. you're overgeneralizing a little bit, but it's not otherwise an invalid criticism. overnight isn't concievable, but it could be done in a timeframe of months with enough planning and hands and if cost wasn't a concern. public works take so long largely because builders milk government contracts. brainlet. just pull another patriot act. bury it in a 1000 page bill and no one will have any fucking clue until it's well underway. purchasing power is really what it's about. a poor area, things are cheap, so are your wages, and that's all fine and well for subsistence living. but a $1000 iphone is absurd when that's what you make in 3 months rather than what you can save. work visas and illegal immigrants aside though, most people and families moving to the us from abroad tend to be pretty wealthy already, even by us standards. it's not continuous. significant portions are just vehicle barriers. >trump is literally hitler why are you defending this? opinions aside, he's objectively not hitler tier. >we've never grounded air traffic before too bad buddy you're the next great american melting pot. immigration to canada, legal and increasingly otherwise, is probably going to be on the up and up for the rest of the century. no doubt the premise is retarded >what if america just fucked off and gave the world to china is beyond the scope of fantasy unchecked social progressivism >what is libel unless of course you can prove all that
Liam Smith
#builthewall #makeittall
Jason Williams
>what is libel >unless of course you can prove all that So he should sue. Hmm wonder why he doesn't. Wonder how discovery would go. You're doing great.
Benjamin Nelson
It is true Van Sciver is not a good artist. Not by any stretch of the imagination. You ever look at DC's 20 Must Read graphic novel lists? Guess who has more books on that list than ANY other artist. He's a multi-award winning artist, Eisner nominated as best penciller/inker. Often Wizard Magazine's #1 "Hot Artist" on their monthly Top Ten.
If there's such a thing as a great artist, I'd venture to say you're quite literally looking at him.
Not that user, but while you're clearly skilled and have talent, Ethan, it's still a viscerally ugly aesthetic. Spindly, unbalanced, lacking imagination and featuring sloppy depth/perspective. But good for you on selling your wares to so many unsuspecting marks.
Nathaniel Rivera
>Van sciver's work is clunky and ugly as fuck. Of all the things you can criticize him for... this is literally the one thing you can't. You might cringe at his political opinions. His writing isn't anything special. But you're blatantly a butthurt SJW if you're going to pretend that his artwork isn't top notch.
Liam Russell
>But you're blatantly a butthurt SJW if you're going to pretend that his artwork isn't top notch. It's unfortunate even Yea Forums, Yea Forums of all things, fell under these guys' spells.
Carson Gomez
I noticed the thread is auto saging. Is this how scared people are to let the truth come out? This is shameful. I expected better from Yea Forums. Go hop on over to KiwiFarms if you guys want some better, more nuanced discussion about the matters tabbed here.
Eli Rodriguez
He's known for his cover art, because he's a good artist. You don't have bad artists do cover art. The only reason you would deny this has nothing to do with his artwork.
Matthew Jackson
they're mostly useful idiots repeating the talking points they've been fed, like any political body. those in the know however are strawmanning because they can't argue their motivations publically. it's not about humanitarianism or social progress, those are justifications. again a lot of them are already wealthy. most legal immigrants aren't refugees. neither are most of the illegal immigrants really, but that's another story. sponsoring and subsidizing saudi arabia and israel while they do heinous shit and pretending not to notice in exchange for them oppresding shi'ites is a long held american tradition, user. there wouldn't be a war. wars are fought between nations and mexican authorities are projecting an appearance of cooperation. it's newspeak that's the association that any reasonable person would make. if they didn't have that in mind in creating it, then they're idiots of the highest order. >I don't go around looking for excuses to be a victim. doubt doctors and engineers don't come to the us illegally, they're at the front of the line for visas and citizenship. a few illegal immigrants may come to the us to become doctors and engineers, but that isn't the immediate implication of that statement. user you're being dense. the president of the united states isn't going to sue some lard ass on an anonymous bengalese fish basket weaving site for libel, not because he's scurred of your zero evidence, but because neither you nor your opinion matter.
Alexander Reyes
I love how sensible you imagine you sound lol ;)
Gavin Harris
that's not an arguement
Nathaniel Robinson
>Now the gates have finally opened, and an expedition has been launched to see what lies beyond
So this is going to be Idiocracy without the humor
