When are they going to talk about his magical spider destiny?

They haven't once touched on his spider being magical of his position as an animal totem in the MCU. Fuck, Doctor strange should have taken one look at him in Infinity wars and been like "Oh shit, its the spider totem chosen!"

This shit is really breaking from canon here, they need to address it in the next movie, maybe by giving him organic stingers or night vision.

The totem shit was a mistake.

If it was a mistake it wouldn't still be canon.

Trying to make Spider-Man mystic is one of the stupidest things attempted in the history of the character's storytelling

Plenty of mistakes are still canon. Yourself, for instance.

That's such a shitty looking spider

>They haven't once touched on his spider being magical of his position as an animal totem in the MCU.

At least one thing has gone right.

>Fuck, Doctor strange should have taken one look at him in Infinity wars and been like "Oh shit, its the spider totem chosen!"
No he should have not.

>This shit is really breaking from canon here, they need to address it in the next movie, maybe by giving him organic stingers or night vision.
Shut up.

Lots of crappy notions are still canon, user

Sound logic you got there, OP.

That's not how adaptations work you stupid fucking retard god damn

>you will never see op be retconned

I think you misquoted

Doh

I really don't fucking like Peter being drawn into supernatural elements. Spider-totem shit feels so needlessly convoluted and unnecessary. Madame Webb was like the absolute limit of that shit for me.

spider totem/magical shit is fucking retarded and should not be part of spider-man's lore
fuck yourself, pleb

when ideas are dumb they get retconned out. When they're seen to be sound and valid, they're kept in.

This is the nature of comics, and is how its always been. Superman being split into two for example was gotten rid of because it was not a good idea, while things like him being weak to magic have been kept in after being added, because they're good additions.

The only time anything is truly bad it gets taken out right quick. the finances of the industry demands a kind of evolutionary "Survival of the fittest" for traits for a series that culls bad ideas.

OP, exactly how dumb are you? First of all, we're just NOW cleaning up Spider-Man canon with Spencer after ten years of Slott shit. And second, Superman isn't "weak" to magic, he just has no natural defense against it.

Really?

Because they bring up the Thor made unworthy with a whisper shit, constantly.
Not enough for you? Ok.

Donna Troy.
That is all.

>Survives getting shot by anything short of a nuke
>gets shot with a magic bullet and dies
I think that would qualify as "Weak to" To most people user.

Who says Superman never got split in two?

The current Superman lived through that shit.

Oh, user, but that never happened.

wrong

Here's an example you can better understand; Superman is fighting, say Etrigan The Demon, and gets burned with magical flames. He's burned, sure, but if it were an normal human they'd be a pile of ash. He still has broken Kryptonian biology. The point I'm getting at is he's susceptible to spells like almost every other hero, he can just take more punishment than most.

Just because something is canon doesn’t mean it gets brought up.

Gwen banged Norman but every writer tried to ignore that. When they even brought back Gwen as a clone in Clone Conspiracy, Peter never brought up to Gwen how he knew she banged Norman.

Yeah it's got legs coming off the abdomen it's not even anatomically correct in the most basic sense.

They only very kinda-sorta hint at spider-people being destined in Into the Spiderverse.

Really triggered me as someone who actually likes spiders. They are already cool/alien looking creatures. You don't need to draw fucking stupid teeth on them to look intimidating or whatever. Just awful.

But spiders are supposed to be scary user!

That was a clone.

The spider totem shit is absolutely awful and I hope they never bring it up in a movie.

stupid shit wont get retconned if the writers are stupid, retard

Magical spider isn't that important or it wouldn't have ditched him for his clone brother.

Mystical totem shit completely undermines the point that Pete was given powers by chance--that it could have been anybody.

Marvel will straight up ignore things they dont feel like acknowledging. There are so many things that have just been left to fade into vague memory rather than outright retcon because that implies it was WORTH retconning.

You know what? They should have. The MCU hasn't been salvageable anyways, fans would eat it up anyway, no matter what they do. They should get this out of their system so whenever Sony reboots Spider-Man or whatever they decide to "do it different" and whatever fans are still alive by then don't have to worry about it.

The really weird part is they affirmed T’challa being mystic. He helped rip apart Order and Chaos in the Ultimates 2 with the Tiger God in his corner.

Too true, I doubt they'll ever bring back that he trained under Shang Chi when his spider sense disappeared.
