Can't they do anything else?
They're putting out the first two series out on Blu-Ray.
Is that the same kind of restoration like disney does with blu-ray
Thought it was older than 50.
They made a whole series and are making a film
Thoughts?
>50 years have passed... but I do not age...
Dogs don't live that long.
When are they going to finally euthanize this dog?
Surely Hanna Barbara has other properties worth rebooting right?
Looks pretty, director is good too and cast is nice
Ahh yes, they have tons of marketable backlog
For me it's Daphne.
What other HB proprty can compete with Scooby Doo?
Because i can only think of two.
That's what the Scoob movie is setting up.
The Scooby Doo movie is suppose to set up a HB cinematic universe.
That's why Captain Caveman is in it and Dirk Dastardly is the main antagonist.
Do kids even care about Scooby Doo anymore?
I think Boomerang uploads all of them Youtube, so ipad kids know it.
duh
bump i love scooby
>They made a whole series and are making a film
To be fair, they are ALWAYS doing that.
I told my mother that Scooby-Doo turned 50 this year. She said that she had felt old before, but hearing that made her feel older than ever.
Nah, WB does a good job not mucking up the original look, though they have a tendency to stuff more content on a disc than is optimal. B:TAS, Looney Tunes, Popeye, and Johnny Quest sets all look great, with the film look and grain fully in-tact while still being cleaned up of dust and damage
Are those sets also worth buying?
When is the Scooby set being released?
If you like those shorts/shows then yes, absolutely. Looney Tunes for sure because who doesn't like them at least a little bit?
Jonny Quest may not have the best animation but the design and colors are awesome and they didn't overly modernize it by boosting contrast or removing grain, it looks just right.
The Scooby set is out September 3, though it's in a gimmicky case with a fuckin' Funko pop that they'll almost definitely reissue in a cheaper, smaller form factor later (as they did with B:TAS)

I don't want the funko
Then wait until it comes out, it took less than a month after the B:TAS set was released for them to announce AND release a new version in a better case with no Funko
