>character makes lame pun
>everybody laughs
>roll credits

I want to cum on raymonds snout

>"So what are we gonna do, DO the completely ridiculous thing?"
>beat
>"I can't believe we are doing the completely ridiculous thing!"

>The rebel faction only calls themselves, "The Resistance"
I don't care how good the show is, if any writer does this than they deserve to be called a fucking fraud if the only good name they can come up for a rebellion faction is the fucking resistance.

>UHHHHH IN ENGLISH PLEASE

>character is thinking really hard
>math equations appear onscreen

>"He's standing right behind me, isn't he?"

>mysterious cult calls themselves "the order"
not specifically Yea Forums but i can't even count how many times i've seen this. i'm sure it's much older than silent hill but that was the earliest one i'm aware of.

>Subject is approaching a coast of a lake/body of water.
>Front facing shot of the subject peeking over the water up with his(/her) eyes with the nose submerged
>Then proceeds to stand up

It's a sequence in so many animated things ranging from Young Justice, Venture Bros, to Madagascar 2 that I'm wondering if it's some sort of reference to a movie I haven't seen.

I love this one and it's subversions.

>character makes a actual funny
>laugh track.
>nobody laughs
I feel bad for them.

I always find that funny. Makes sense I guess if they are sneaking around, if you decide to pop your head out the water you'll probably alert security.

I don't understand how unoriginal a writer has to be to not only go with the same bog standard, cookie cutter name over and over again, but also go with the exact same premise and introduction every time. Every time it's always the stupid frined that introduces the protag to the same rag tag group of freedom fighters, fighting against the stereotypical oppressive empire (that also has an unoriginal name), and bumble through plans, rally the people in a haphazrd faction and save the day without any consequences.

The best show I can think of that avoids this shit and does a rebel faction the best is, Team Dai-Gurren in TTGL

>character gives long inspirational speech to crowd to fight back, etc.
>"Now who's with me?!"
>...
>"There's also gonna be free food/some other irrelevant thing!"
>crowd cheers

Like so?

"Never get out of the boat. Too goddamn right."

Oh man, that might actually be it. I haven't seen that movie but I know it's popular enough otherwise.
Yeah, sometimes funny, sometimes serious.

I hate when people talk like "many a night"

>Madagascar 2
They did it in Madagascar 3 also.

>character makes lame pun
>everyone laughs
>person who made pun starts laughing along
>everyone else stops laughing and somebody slaps them

I love this trope tho.

shit if you're gonna do a job you may as well get paid for it, and if you're putting your neck on the lines they better offer a free sandwhich and drink at least

thank you hitler

honestly I'm surprised they haven't used this with someone like the Flash, Superman or Batman

>Episode has guest star celebrity voice
>Whole episode is dedicated to jerking them off

Remember, slipping on a banana peel at one point was consider revolutionary.

Do kids even have food fights anymore?

I don't think they were ever a thing to begin with, or they weren't popular at least.
But there was always that one kid who was probably autistic who wanted, tried, and failed to start one
That kid was me, I despise childhood me with a burning passion

>Character is thinking real hard
>Math equations appear
>They are the actual formulas used for that scenario

They twice in my childhood. Once in middle school and once in high school. The high school one just escalated into an actual fight. Kids wailing on eachother with lunch trays and everything.

Shit, now I really want to see this with Flash.

youtube.com/watch?v=8zXQoFFMCu8
My high school had one. Staff then padlocked the milk for the rest of the semester. Considering how much food goes to waste normally I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.

>character throws the villain in a hot place OR attaches him to a projectile OR loads him in a cannon
>"You're fired."

doesn't mean it is now though
