How did this show just get totally avoided in the age of "90s Nostalgia"
How did this show just get totally avoided in the age of "90s Nostalgia"
not enough fanservice
Maybe because fuckers like you keep pushing this "want" and "longing" for 90's Nostalgia boom, but the majority of 90's people really don't care? And that's even without anyone outright calling the 90's shit. There's just no hype for the 90s. At least not at the levels that would rival the hype for the 80s.
because it was kinda shit.
Not like, aggressively shit. Just sort of barely south of mediocre.
Probably because the show hasn't gotten broadcast in the US since 2003 and never got any home release of any kind.
To my memory, it was the first show axed when One Saturday Morning restructured.
It's funny because the 80s had the worst cartoons of almost any generation
Nah, it was because Pepper Ann was bland.
idk, I found it kind of nice,
it's really good as kind of a time-capsule of late 1990's culture or at least a reflection of 1990's politics.
Recess got released on iTunes a couple years ago. Doug and Pepper Ann are still stuck on ancient VHSrips.
That's what the comics were for. One had her topless in a changing room and another had her daydream about being a busty Marie Antoinette type.
Disney doesn't rely on 90s nostalgia to stay afloat
>90s Nostalgia
Fake and gay. I'm tired of brands trying to push that shit on me.
>How did this show just get totally avoided in the age of "90s Nostalgia"
probably because it's hard to find to watch even by "Disney TV Animation" standards
Because it’s just really boring. Why the hell would you watch dumbass slice of life shit instead of something entertaining like Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Courage The Cowardly Dog, The Angry Beavers, or Hey Arnold?
I liked the show. I rewatched the whole series earlier this year.
Shes a ginger Doug
In the inevitable reboot, Pepper Anne gets played by Sierra Aylina McClain .
Was it even that popular?
Who would you cast as Pepper Ann in the inevitable live action remake for Disney Plus?
she flashes her tits at everyone in one episode
Well, she's a ginger, so obviously a black actress.
see
She was using a bra, that was the point.
Zendaya as Pepper Ann
>this "want" and "longing"
Have you never heard those words outside of this context or something?
It's the curse of her cousin.
She's a million times more proactive than Doug.
>complains about boring shows
>lists Hey Arnold
no one watched ABC
>One had her topless in a changing room and another had her daydream about being a busty Marie Antoinette type.
Sauce?
Wasn't this the first Disney show made by a woman?
You think people would suck it off more these days
>le there's no 90s nostalgia
I keep seeing people say this, especially on Yea Forums, and I don't think it's true. I mean what about the massive "90s kid" nostalgia that exploded on the internet back around 2008-2013, plus all the reboots of 90s movies and tv shows now. All this "No 90s nostalgia" meme seems to be pushed by either zoomers or 50 year olds.
It actually did get a proper finale though
because I was 5 when I watched this and barely have any recollection of it
>Probably because the show hasn't gotten broadcast in the US since 2003
Really?
I thought this would air with Recess at least in like 2007
Bring in Olivia Rodrigo (Paige from Bizaardvark). She'd be good for it as Pepper Ann. Also make Moose a guy while they're at it.
>Wasn't this the first Disney show made by a woman
Yes. However, Disney has never ever released anything about it. Who knows if Disney does even have the episodes anymore. This was during Eisner’s reign of terror
SHES HER OWN BIGGEST FAN. PEPPER ANN
>Disney doesn't rely on 90s nostalgia to stay afloat
Hey Arnold was full of substance of depth.
