They constantly had fights with S&P and even put joking references to it in there in those "imitable actions" lines. Hell, they even got a nipple slip reference into one episode.
S&P shot down a Gravity Falls reference to a real person who wasn't in an episode once but let Milo Murphy get away with a Peter Coyote reference because they didn't feel like fighting Dan and Swampy.
