So I just read this

So I just read this.

It sucked. The secondary characters were thrown in willy-nilly. The plot was a shit circus. The narration was disjointed, even nonsensical.

Feels kind of like All-Star Batman. They're pushing this new "label" but the product is pretty shitty so it'll flop and be canned before it ever gets on it's feet. The comparison is even more apt in that Azarello is usually pretty okay, but like Miller he seems to have lost his touch.

What's been the consensus on this? Did people mostly enjoy it, or no?

It was nothing but pure edge, typical Azzarello. Fuck that tryhard dickhead.

I'm only mad because the whole fucking batpenis thing screwed over DC's rating system big time, strong language or explicit content isn't even allowed in Mature Readers books anymore.

See the new issue of Doom Patrol, which carries the M rating, but has nothing in its content that would warrant anything beyond Teen, even the single swearword, "asshole" was censored to "a-hole".

I really didn't get the ending.

my freind bought them
told him not too although the art is fucking fantastic
is it true they really removed batcock?

Miller did All Star Batman & Robin. All Star Batman was Snyder.

Thank god. I thought something was wrong with me.

Art was nice though.

Batman deserves to go to hell for not saving a serial killer (even though said serial killer didn't die)

In the digital edition.

The Spectre condemns Batman for letting the Joker die when he thought he himself was mortally wounded, and believed letting the Joker live was irresponsible. But now he says "I wish he hadn't died"... and apparently, the Spectre, with his customary sense of twisted justice, apparently trades his life for that of the Joker.

I thought it was a lot of pointless crap, all in all.

thats fucking retarded although i can see it stopping kids buying it where as a store owner would probs say no

>This guy has saved billions of lives over and over
>but didn't save a serial killer once
>clearly he deserves to die while the serial killer comes back
Spectre is kind of a massive fuck up / retard, eh?

as far as im concerned the bigger fuck up is black label

Then you're a retard, gotcha

What good has come from Black Label so far, though?

No, the Joker is dead, but the guy from 2008 mini series that got shot in the mouth on that bridge survives and becomes a new Joker.

I thought Spectre turned Batman into the Joker.

oh please do tell us what amazing things have come from black label so far
they already removed a fucking penis from an "adult line of comics aimed at mature people"
i swear this board is full of little spergs who just try their hardest to come across as utter muppets

Was that even the same event.

Batman Damned directly references the 2008 graphic novel, in fact it takes place after that and implied Joker died as a result of that.

I think reimagining Deadman's costume as flayed flesh was pretty neat to be honest. Everything else about the book was pretty lame but that design really left an impression, despite its edginess.

Well it does tie into his statement from the ogn that the joker itself is basically a disease

Why are Batman comics always so dark and edgy?

more like Bat Label

Really didn't care for it, or the ending. Kinda feels like DC said end it now, because batpenis.

Bermejo did a great job with the art though.

Fuck if I know.

It was amazing. Finally, as mature comic for mature adults such as myself.
