>Dock Ock is a Ex stark employee who got stiffed by stark and wants to shit on his legacy
>Sandman got stuck in a stark expiriment and wants to shit on his legacy
>Rhino is Ivan Vanko's brother and wants revenge against Stark for killing him in Iron man 2
>Scorpion got put in a Stark Industries suit
>Smyte buld the Spider-slayers to compete with Starks Iron Man drones
>Kraven was hunting a rare species of Elephant before Stark an flexed on him, now hes out for revenge
>Norman Osborn went to college with Stark and found Harries mom and Stark in bed and now wants Stark dead for giving him a bastard son
>Tony went to space himself and brought the Symbiote to earth
wow the future looks bright for Spider-man movies right Yea Forums?
Dock Ock is a Ex stark employee who got stiffed by stark and wants to shit on his legacy
They made Mister Stark the Uncle Ben. This was a meme on Yea Forums to make fun of the MCU and then it actually happened. If you have any interest in this franchise as a good portrayal of Spider-Man after that your disappointment is on you.
...
Seeing as how absolutely none of this will happen, I’d say yes?
i gave homecoming a chance but i closed the tab at this scene
>Peter's grand moment where his love for aunt may and his will to do right by Uncle Ben help him out of the structure
>movie is just I HAVE TO DO RIGHT BY MR STARK EVEN TOUGH I BARELY KNOW THE GUY AND HE DRAGGED ME INTO A FUCKING SUPERHERO WAR
these movies are fucking terrible, and the worst part is that this will be kids idea of Spidey from now on
im glad Ditko and Lee died before they could see this future
How would the MCU deal with pic?
Better than a bunch of unrelated science accidents all happening around the same time.
see you in 5 years when Spidey is fighting the S6 Stark Six
>Cute outfit. Did your HUSBAND give it to you!?
>Yes. Yes he did actually
Yes that's all really bad and disappointment, specifically if you're a spiderfag, but while I didn't like homecoming very much I actually enjoyed FFH.
For one, Mysterio was good and Peter actually beat the villain while pulling some impressive feats and also improvisation.
Remember how he almost dealt with everything up until that point with webs, to the point people joked disney/sony wouldn't allow him to be physical?
At least this time he rnan put of webs and did something cool without them.
Stark Slayers
>"THEY FINALLY DID IT RIGHT" scream the masses as Peter Parker acts nothing like Peter Parker.
Stark scientifically proved wrestling wasn't real so he challenged a guy with spider powers to prove it is.
>I'm a fucking genius inventor.
>Think I'll invent an impossible device that opens portals or some shit.
>Guess I'll use it to rob banks!
>Stark is dead and i'm in possesion of his reality-altering technology.
>Guess i'll invent a convoluted plot that will end up proving fruitless once The Avengers enter the picture!
Wrong.
>Guess i'll invent a convoluted plot that will end up proving fruitless once The Avengers enter the picture
Oh shit! Almost like it was a super villain scheme or something!
If you were a MCU villain then what would your Stark-related villain origin story be?
>Create Spider-man to deviate from the at the time Status of young Superheroes always being Sidekicks to a greater Superhero and never being their own character
>decades later they turn Spider-man into a fucking sidekick
Stark disliked my facebook status and now i will create portals to break into his and use his laptop to call himself a big gay on facebook
My mom is that reporter he fucked and dropped ln Iron Man 1 and that ruined her life and career and she killed herself
Now I'm out for revenge with my spy and investigation skills, plus massive reporter charisma to convince people about some twisted Stark facts to ruin his reputation andmhis successors
>Oh shit! Almost like it was a super villain scheme or something!
As if what you posted weren't already. Besides, most of them (with the exception of criminals like Electro) only did petty shit after their first appearance.
The entire point of Far From Home was stepping away from Iron Man, assuming that that's Tony being partially responsible for every single one of Peter's villains when the entire point of FFH was to get out of that funk is stupid.
Let's change, maybe 5 words in what Stark tells Peter.
>If you're nothing without this power, then you aren't responsible enough to have it.
Contrary to popular belief, no, "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility" is not a quote exclusive to Uncle Ben, only casuals who read Ultimate or watched Raimi will believe that (ironically enough, the Raimi scene was completely ripping Teen Wolf). I feel that it was far less Peter just listening to Stark, and listening more to what he said.
And a big appeal of that moment in general is how that moment was drawn out for so long, making it seem as if he wasn't going to get out. Which makes his eventual success all the more satisfying. All Homecoming needed to do was draw the scene out for a few minutes longer, and it'd be a lot better.
Go ahead and cite a Ditko, Romita, Conway or Stern issue where Peter is like MCU Peter.
You're missing user's point, where The Final Chapter's climax was about Peter refusing to give up as he looks back on what he lost and what he could still protect, specifically his family. Tony isn't a father, and the scene wasn't earned after several adventures and years of Peter beating himself up and weighing himself down.
It "fits" but doesn't hold the same significance, same as every other halfassed remake/callback to it.
>radio silence
>not a quote exclusive to Uncle Ben
i dont think uncle ben ever even said that. im pretty sure that was a box with stan lee narrating the lesson peter learned after finding out the guy who killed ben was the guy he let go earlier.
it wasnt even worded like that either. that quote is purely raimi im sure
>that quote is purely raimi
It had mutated into a catchphrase befire that.
STARK PISSED ON MY FUCKING WIFE
hes pretty fucking similar to the ultimate spiderman minus the angst and talking during fights. when hes not upset about something and not in costume, ultimate spiderman reads like mcu spiderman
>Even Dead I'm The Hero
They are straight up rubbing it in our faces.
So he's kind of like an earlier adaptation that was far removed from the original character. A bastardization of Bendis' bastardization.
Aka, not actually accurate.
/thread
so i just watched this
Peter really seemed extra stupid in the movie, like seriously losing your bag 5 times?
also i seriously believe they completely forgot Spider-sense existed in this movie
Peter doesn't get proper spider sense until Far From Home, but it's unclear whether its shitty lampshading or intentional.
what the fuck he had Spider-sense during CW
he never uses it during HC
What will Silver Sable's backstory be?
Or Chameleon's?
>Silver Sable and Sable Force where a task force hired by Stark to protect his shit against the rising supervillian population in NYC
>Chameleon is just hitching alongside Kraven
I'd actually do Doc Ock as a proud Stark employee who idolizes his boss and wants to follow in his footsteps. He finds the idea that Spider-Man is his supposed protege and successor laughable at first and repugnant later. So he makes his arms to show the world that not only is he the true heir to creating Stark level tech, but that he can also be a better...superior Spider-Man.
Next MCU Spidey villain: "Join me, Peter. I can take care of you, be your mentor. I can be like a father to you."
Peter: "I had a father, his name was Tony Stark."
>The entire point of Far From Home was stepping away from Iron Man
No? The point of the movie was Peter becoming the new Tony Stark. The scene with him and Happy on the jet was NOT "alright we're moving away from Iron man", it's "Peter is becoming the new iron-man"
>Rhino is Ivan Vanko's brother and wants revenge against Stark for killing him in Iron man 2
I unironically love this idea
