Why people on Yea Forums say that comic suits don't translate well to live action? True, they look silly, but aren't superheroes movies already silly? And if a bunch of cosplayer can make these suit to look good in real life i think that companies can do the same. (Pic related is just an example. I know it looks bad)

Just because something looks good as a cosplay doesn't mean it would translate well to a movie. They're different contexts.
Pic related. Great cosplay, would absolutely take a picture with this guy. Would look weird in a movie though.

> obviously actor’s face has to be seen or won’t take role

Some do. Some don't.

Cap is a famous example. Almost all of his non-accurate suits makes the "accurate" ones look like ass. But on the flip side, Superman's comic costume translates well simply because it's iconic.

I know. That why i was saying that it looked bad. (Not only because it was photoshopped) but things like the scarlet witch and quicksilver suits can look pretty great in my opinion. And some of the suits of the movies look really silly already like the quicksilver one

To be fair captain america suit already looks great so there's not much to change. I liked how the mcu changed the suit to make look more soldier-like so is not like the whole suit was changed for nothing or something like that

Some are really hard

>Superman's comic costume translates well simply because it's iconic.
Superman wears his briefs over his tights and it looks stupid. Of course it was changed for MoS.

spidey always has a decent suit

For me the briefs break up color. The whole just blue with nothing around there to break it up looks fucking awful.

It's hard to mess up Spiderman, his classic costume is basically already perfect. As long as you don't deviate too much from it

The ant-man suit at least looks like the comic one though. I don't want a suit that looks exactly like the comic one but i want it to be similar. That's why the ant-man suit doesn't look that bad for me. Same for the spider-man suit

a belt can break up the color and look decent instead of fucking briefs.

none of those are accurate you dumbass casual, you see any chain mail? I really fucking hate moviefaggots.

Like another user said, Spidey's suit is already god-tier design. You have to actively try to fuck up Spidey's suit.

They weren't made for live action and some of them look weird IRL. Just like live action suits don't translate well to comics and look too busy.

Not really, I don't think I've ever seen a design that works as well as the briefs.
People just need to drop the meme and accept it's a fine look.

Ditko's design for Spider-Man was pure gold, it's probably the most consistent super hero outfit, you really don't need to change much from it and it's pretty recognizable.

Every Ant-Man suit is great

The chainmall has a chance to look good. Aquaman's did.

most movie suits are basically tacticool adaptations of the comics suits

This. Briefs help to balance out the color. Saying the belt can do it is generally bullshit unless there's something else there to help the belt balance things out. This is why Supes' and Bats' N52 costumes are complete ass.

What chainmail? Cap and Aquaman don't wear chainmail. Are you talking about the lamellar? Yeah, that didn't look good on Aquaman.

The Scalemail
