I love this art style so much

It's pretty great, but cheapens when paired with bad writing for quick cash grabs

Yeah I love cartoon midriffs too

The DeCarlo/Timm style is what American comics should have strived to evolve to be on pair with manga artists. Symbol drawing is not a bad thing

God bless Timm. He not only helped introduce an entire generation to DC, but awoken fetishes we didn't fully understand until later. Oh and um, thank Dini for the solid writing.

ya the batman and harley movie sucked, thought you were talking about the series

>Also learn to quote
you shouldn't give bait (you)s user

Series was very good. All the shows with that style felt very warm. Also I think there was a recent movie with the art style I'm forgetting

it was a new harley quinn movie
it sucked

I never did. But the stories were really good.

Nope it was with a girl green lantern

justice league vs the fatal five

Honestly suffers from same face syndrome not gonna lie.

Yeahhh

Yeah, I don't understand why so many Western comic artists are so intensely interested in drawing with a huge amount of detail. Looking specifically at guys like Jim Lee. I think more simplified designs and artstyles are not only easier to keep consistent across multiple media, they look better in motion, too, including the simulated motion of comic book panels.

Pic related, Frank Paur, who did the design work for X-Men Evolution, gets it, too. Don't make your designs a mess of superfluous lines. Keep them simple and striking.

Those two? Sure. Not really but sure

Best Ivy for sure, Dark green looks better than the bright green from BTAS.

The Ivy in your pic is shit. SHIT.
OP Ivy is superior.

Unpopular opinion: I liked the simplicity of Catwoman's redesign. Not saying that all of the redesigns were good though.

the real thing that would've saved american comics a lot of trouble is just forgetting things like prioritizing color and instead focusing on making sure that stores would just stock thick monthly anthologies and telling the collectors market to go fuck itself and that they need new blood, not recycled characters.

I love how TNBA Selina Kyle also has the short black hair, as opposed to in BTAS when she had to look like Michelle Pfeiffer. Overall TNBA shifted some of the BTAS designs in a way I like specifically because they were able to move away from having to rely in the Burton films. Penguin's TNBA design is fantastic.

TAS Ivy has better hair but NBA has better outfit and skin.

Continuing this shit taste train by saying TAS had the better catwoman but NBA had the better Selina.

Do you like this art style, or do you like winged eyeliner?
Be honest.

both
