3>1>2>4

2>1>3>KH3

2 > 3 > 1 > didn’t see 4

2-1-3-Shorts-4

I'd have to rewatch all the movies.

1>3>2>KH3>4?

1 > 3 > 4 > 2

Is 4 really the worst?

anything that isn't:
1>2>3>4
is wrong

1>2>3>4
The only other acceptable ranking is 2 first and 1 second

not really it was okay. what people really hate about 4 is the ending and how alot of people felt it was out of character for woody.

how you feel about the ending is what's ultimately gonna make or break the movie for you.

>I'd have to rewatch all the movies.
pretty much this.

I'd have to rewatch 1-3 to give my honest opinion about them. 4 is the only one that's still fresh in my mind since i saw it with my nephew yesterday.

1>2=3=4=kh3
there is only one step
and it is toy

I just watched 4. I liked it. I liked it a lot. It felt like an epilogue which is perfect. Seeing Woody and Buzz hug it out before Woody leaving the toys was great closure to the series. PLEASE DON'T MAKE A TOY STORY 5

I dont think they're wrong for thinking it was out of character but I do think it was a good idea.

the problem was the story felt like it was trying to tell 3 different stories in one movie, or at least explore several ideas for the world of living toys in 1 movie. Forky really didnt even need to exist in this movie at all, I feel like he started as a concept for some weird existential crisis of live given to something other wise inanimate and him feeling like he should die or simply shouldnt be alive in the first place. They probably could have done a movie on this alone.

then there is the idea that revolved around woody no longer being the "favorite" and being reduced to just an average cowboy toy that bonny liked but treats at least as equal to the other toys if no less on some occasions. This again, could have been its own full movie or at least one of their shorts.

then there was the question on every ones mind "what happen to boe?" They wrote a story for that, or probably started one and this could easily have been its own short or movie as well.

at some point they rolled them all into one movie. Having woody stay with boe and be a lost toy didnt not make sense from a concept aspect, it just wasnt fleshed out well enough because the "no longer being a favorite" thing got played into handing down the mantel of being a primary toy to other toys who've either not gotten the chance to be with a kid or who never would with out intervention. They touched on this just a bit at the end but could have been fleshed out more and would have made woodys character make sense if it just changed from "always being there for your kid" to "always being there for every one, especially your fellow toy so they can be their for their kid". His morals would (and where) still intact for his character but his goals and priorities would have changed. They just didnt really flesh that all out very well.

>bo peep climbs up the rope, ass in the camera and woodys face
>makes a raspberry sound which sounds like a fart right in woodys face

I appreciated her ass. She looked really pretty in the beginning before she got jaded.

This. Toy Story 3 works until you realize it's literally just Toy Story 2 but a few years later.

2>1>3>KH3>>>>>>>>>>>>>power gap>>>>It's not the worst movie Pixar's done, but it's pretty damn bad. It's so odd how there's people willing to defend it because of the name attached when it also goes out of its way to shit of everything the original trilogy established in order to drag the franchise out even further. It's the most blatant cash grab since WiR2.

I didnt like 3. Except spanish buzz.

elaborating on my ranking

The first Toy Story is fucking flawless. It has the most memorable quotes and scenes out of all the Toy Story movies. I love how Sid isn't really a villain because he has no reason to think the toys are alive, but gets his comeuppance anyway. Woody's plan to escape Sid's house and the confrontation with Sid is one of the most kino action sequences in all of cinema.

In second place, I put Toy Story 3. Compared with 2 and 4, Toy Story 3 is both funnier and more emotional. I laughed more at Ken and Barbie than any of the jokes in 2, and while 4 had an ending that made sense it couldn't really compare to 3's ending. Woody's jail break plan in 3 is also the second best action sequence in Toy Story next to escaping Sid's house.

I place 4 above 2 because 4 feels like a return to a lot of the things that made 1 so good: there's no villain, the comedy is dark but not especially tearjerking, and the character interactions are really good. Unfortunately, it's just not QUITE as good at the different things that 1 and 3 did.

Toy Story 2 being at the bottom shouldn't be an insult because the "worst" Toy Story movie (which is an incredibly unpopular opinion) is still really good. It's mainly at the bottom because I like what the other three movies were doing more than this one. While 2 introduced a lot of the concepts that were integral to 3 and 4, 3 and 4 made those concepts have consequences for the characters while 2 ends with "lol we'll just go back to Andy and worry about growing up later." The one thing I think 2 has above 3 and 4 is a legitimately good character arc for Buzz. Buzz was great in the first two movies but kind of got reduced to a joke character in 3 and 4.

> PLEASE DON'T MAKE A TOY STORY 5
it's gonna happen

i think the major difference is between TS4 & WiR2 endings is how they were done.

i can get why woody staying would feel out of character but it definitely wasn't done like WR2 where it basically vanellope saying "fuck you guys i'm going turbo" and ralph being the asshole for wanting to stop her.

I was thinking and maybe it would have been stronger if instead Woodie had encountered Original Woody and Roundup Gang. With them having similar personalities to Stinky Pete being jaded and vengeful of not being the toys that got to be played with but their Stinky Pete having made peace that he'd never be played with he had a purpose to be there for the other toys in need.

Toy Story 5 is pretty much guaranteed at this point. They're at this perfect position now where they can do whatever the fuck they want and shit out as many sequels as they can.

Well you'll be happ to know i share your opinion (though i dont hate 4, i liked it it was entertaining but yes feel a little sad to see Woody leave his friend)

4 wasn't the best movie but I think it had the second most human and heartfelt moment out of any Pixar movie. The gang having to split up not because of some contrived forces that be but rather because of real love is some heavy shit.
