Why would the Green Lantern movie be loved today?
Why would the Green Lantern movie be loved today?
It wouldn't.
Think at how lighthearted stupid and shame to comic books and source material marvel movies are, think at how are well received, now realize that this movie was the lighthearted stupid and shameful to comic books and source material.
And think
Did you really need to make another thread just to seethe about marvel?
yes!
i'm glad mark strong got to be in a better dc movie.
Holy shit, learn English.
Same. He was pretty good as Sivana. Though i would've preffered it if he was more like the golden age one
It was literally just John's Secret Origin but without Black Hand and Atrocitus and a more sympathetic Hammond.
It's shit, but considering the source, it's one of the closest comics-to-film adaptations out there.
This
Shazam should have taught you this lesson OP
It’s would possibly be not crap if it came out today
But many people liked it
And here I thought DC fans being third worlders was just a meme
>one of the closest comics-to-film adaptations out there.
i think this is a definitive answer that this isn't necessarily a good thing
If that were true it wouldn't have bombed
It didn't though. How many times are you gonna be a dumbass about it?
Less than $400 million = bomb
Sorry but them's the rules
But today fans would like it lacks from source material, at least Shazam was straight of new52
uh huh sure. I bet if it made 463 million, you would've moved it to 500 million
It was Hal Jordan.
But I liked how it was trying to be his own thing.
Okay, first it isn't close to the comics, Hellboy 2019 was close to the comics and it was shit. second many close to comics movies are mostly good, for example the movie Shazam was all new52 Shazam.
Aquaman was Geoff Johns run
Who the fuck still consider box offices a critic point in 2019?
First Flight was way better.
Emerald Knights was way way better.
Too many uncreative people get involved when you try to make live action.
Mouseketeers
Johns as in Geoff Johns, my Redditor friend.
Green Lantern wasn't light hearted at all. Hal is a psychopath who gets everything handed to him and shows no remorse no matter who or what he destroys. He's about as likeable as Christian Grey. Fuck, he IS Christian Grey but for middle-aged neckbeards. You're supposed to love him because he arranged the trappings of success around himself, not because he has any real character or ability to win you over. He's a test pilot who doesn't get any shit for losing a test plane, gets a magic ring, has a hot girlfriend, aces the magic ring training school in like an hour, meets a variety of stereotypical aliens in the process, then saves the universe from the threat none of them had even spotted while advertising Hot Wheels.
It's pure garbage. It's like someone took the SEARS fight from Man of Steel and made a whole movie out of it, but with weird, floating-head characters because the CGI wasn't finished because someone totally incompetent budgeted it too low.
>DC movie
>loved
Where do you think you are?
I hope Ryan comes back for the reboot, but not the GL. He could be Larfleeze, or maybe a Guardian.
